Prada L’eau Ambrée EDP – Review

Prada L’eau Ambrée EDP

Hey guys…

With this review…my perfume collection ends.  I have already reviewed Ricci Ricci by Nina Ricci, Lovely by SJP and this is the last one, frankly, I don’t know how to pronounce this name. I ordered this online so I didn’t even had a chance to interact with the SA on how it is pronounced. I searched the internet but nothing came up, so we will call it just Prada….or maybe we will call it ‘one who must not be named’ like Voldemort 😀

What the company says about Prada L’eau Ambrée EDP

A refined and carefully balanced meditation on beauty and desire, l’Eau Ambrée is a fragrance that has graceful presence, empowering but never demanding. (I love this line) L’Eau Ambrée is a new addition to the Prada Classic range, which combines an intricate and fresh approach to the balancing of citron, may rose and amber notes.

It s classy black bottle with a golden cap. The bottle is the epitome of elegance and class. The name of the perfume is written on top of the bottle on the golden top.

My experience with Prada L’eau ambrée:-

Prada L'eau Ambrée EDP 2

This is a ‘knock you out’ kind of a fragrance which is just the right amount of sultry, feminine, floral and elegant. One percent above and it would have been too strong. This is the most unique scent I have come across because of its unique notes and you don’t get to ‘whiff’ many people wearing it because it’s not available easily. It’s very sheer and luxurious. One more thing you will love it for is its staying power. It stays for around 7-8 hours at a stretch and after that also you can fell the lingering scent of vanilla, patchouli and opoponax. For those of you who have not come across a word like opoponax across your previous ‘saat janam’ (just like me), it’s a herb which smells somewhat like lavender or balsam. The amber notes are very subtle and feminine. The perfume is the best for ladies who like to smell graceful and flirty at the same time 😉 no coming to the bottle. It’s a classy Prada bottle but it is designed just for the looks, not for the practicality. You cannot hold the bottle and spray at the same time; you need two hands for that because of its odd shape. And boy, you just cannot afford to drop it (your heart will drop with it too).

Let me list the pros and cons quickly:-

Pros of Prada L’eau ambrée:-

1) The scent is classy, elegant, floral and feminine.
2) The amber and vanilla notes are subtle and unique.
3) It lasts the whole day (Jaw dropping should happen here :P)
4) The bottle is extremely stylish and classy.
5) Available at online shopping sites which makes it easier for people like me who do not have a Prada store in their city.
6) Perfect for both day and night.

Prada L'eau Ambrée EDP 3 Cons of Prada L’eau ambrée:-

1) Expensive…very expensive.
2) Bottle may drop if you try to do multitasking because of its awkward shape.

Overall verdict:

Go for this fragrance if you want something (in Prada’s own words) Graceful, empowering but never demanding, a very wearable fragrance with just the right amount of flirt, elegance and sensuality. You will surely turn heads when you wear this fragrance.
