Swati Asks:

I have been a silent reader of your blog for a long long time now! I am getting married in November and looking for a foundation that will be suitable for bridal makeup. Basically, something that gives a
flawless finish and photographs well. My skin is dry to combination. Will you please guide me? Also, if you could help me with your experience, that will be great!

Thank you and best regards,

  1. Hi swati 🙂
I would say deffinetly one that doesnt contain SPF and depending on the skin you can use a foundation that covers very well such as MAC or Sephore (cheaper version Clinique) or if you want less coverage since there is no need to cover up anything you can use any drugstore foundation such as Loreal or Maybelline.
The reason why you dnt want to use a foundation with spf is because if there is going to be flash photography your face will look like a ghost because of the SPF.
Revlon actually has a foundation called PHOTOREADY you may want to have a look into that.

By the way congratulation on getting married soon
Wish you the best of luck <3

  2. definitely go for kryolan products! they are used by tv and film industry for the fact that they photograph really well and look good on videos tv too! kryolan has store a in mumbai, delhi and chennai

    1. I agree with you Parita… I have got my make-up done with Kryolan products for a friend’s wedding, and the result was fab! though I dunno why I haven’t bought any kryolan products 🙁
Hey Swati, do check out Kryolan, and look for products without SPF as they make the skin appear white under flash-light. Congrats, and all the best!

  3. I personally love the revlon Colorstay foundation for oily skin. But you have to get your shade right, which is the most important thing. the staying power on this is super awesome just that they haven’t launched all their shades in India, i don’t know why!!!

  4. Hey Swati,
Many congratulations for your wedding. I can understand why is it sooooooooooo important to look good on the Big day. I will swear by ‘ TV Paint stick’ of Kryolan. It costs INR 800. It coems in a huge array of shades and you can pick one nearest to your skin tone and it acts as a great concealer in case you have pores. But one warning, make sure you get a transluscent powder with an exact shade match to make your face look brighter. Try the Kryolan counter at Ramee mall, chennai. The SAs are lovely and you will sure end up with the best buy!
