Hope you all are doing well. Today’s review will be on a product from my Glossier haul – ” Glossier Milk Jelly Cleanser.” I have tried both Glossier makeup and skincare and this brand has its own hits and misses. Read on to find out more about how this cleanser worked for me.
This is the ultimate daily face wash: use on dry skin to dissolve away makeup and grime, or on wet skin as you start your day. The pH-balanced, creamy gel formula is made with a blend of five skin conditioners so your face is left feeling healthy and soft, never tight. Its cleansing power comes from the same gentle cleaning agents you’d find in contact lens solution, so it’s tough on impurities and still safe to use on your eyes. You’ll see.\
My Experience with Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser Conditioning Face Wash:
Packaging: This face wash come in a sturdy, translucent plastic bottle with a pump which also has a locking mechanism hence you can safely travel with this.
Texture/Consistency: This face wash has a thick gel-like texture. It is not runny, rather the consistency is quite goope-y. The product produces enough foam to help cleanse your skin but there is lather or tons of bubbles you get with a traditional foaming cleanser. The texture and performance reminds me very much of the Cera Ve Hydrating Cleanser that I have used in the past. It is also not as easy to rinse off compared to traditional foaming cleanser due to its very creamy consistency. You could either use a wash cloth or you will need to rinse your skin multiple times.
Usage: This face wash has been a boon for my normal-dry skin. I find it very soothing on my skin. I use it mostly as my morning cleanser to wash my face in the shower to refresh my skin. I don’t find that the cleanser strips my skin and it does not leave it tight. I don’t feel the need to follow up with a moisturizer post cleansing my skin. I don’t prefer using this during the night as I don’t find this very effective at removing makeup on its own. It is good enough to remove light makeup like tinted moisturizer but it does not do much for waterproof makeup unless I use it as a second cleanser post removing makeup with oil/makeup wipes.
Fragrance: Though this product does claim to be fragrance free, it has a moderately strong scent of rose water which is one of ingredient. This face wash also stings my eye if it ever gets in it though not as badly as the Glossier Soothing Face Mist. Though it is not uncommon for face washes to sting if it gets in the eye, I find this to be a con for this product because the claims on this product say otherwise.
I love the fact that this product is soap free, paraben free, sulfate free, fragrance free, not tested on animals. I believe every skin type that does not appreciate how traditional cleanser unbalances your skin, will love the gentle, soothing and non-drying nature of this cleanser. This is a must-have for the upcoming winter months, particularly for normal-dry-very dry skin. I will recommend this cleanser.

Cons of Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser Conditioning Face Wash:
