Hey Everyone!

Grey Purple Eye Makeup Look Tutorial

So, today’s post is a little different since I will not be reviewing any product, but will do a Grey and Purple Eye Makeup Tutorial for you guys. Its been such a long time since I did one, so I figured let me do this combination which I newly discovered and loving it a lot! Its a very wearable look and can be easily worn during day time. So, without any further ado, let’s get started 🙂

Step 1:

Conceal/Correct/Hide your dark circles by using any concealer you like, I am using the Orange/Yellow corrector from Laura Mercier (review coming up soon ;)) and TheBalm concealer in Medium.

Step 2:

Apply an eyeshadow base or primer, I have used MAC’s paint pot in Soft Ochre which I forgot to photograph.

Step 3:

Apply a cream eyeshadow, preferably grey in color, I have used my favorite Maybelline Color Tattoo in Audacious Asphalt, this will help to enhance the eyeshadow you put on top and also increase the staying power.  Apply this only on the lids and not in or above the crease. Blend the edges softly using your finger.

Step 4:

Apply a pearl finish grey eyeshadow, I have used Inglot’s 444 here.

Step 5:

Blend the harsh edges using a fluffy brush, I have used Sigma E40.

Step 6:

Apply a warm brown eyeshadow in the outer V as shown and blend it out using a brush similar to MAC 217.

Step 7:

Apply a matte purple eyeshadow in the crease and blend out the edges taking the color only half way in the crease since in the inner corner, we will be adding a highlight shade.

Step 8:

Add a shimmery or pearl finish highlight of your choice, make sure the highlight has pink or silver undertones to match with our lid color, I have used Inglot 399 pearl here.

Step 9:

Apply the same grey eyeshadow using a pencil brush on your lower lash line and blend it out using the same purple shade to give a soft smokey effect.

  3. Such a pretty EOTD Parita I remember in one of your previous post you mentioned that you suffer from dark under eye circles. But in this look it’s almost looks like you have none. I do suffer from dark under eye circles and tired of trying different concealer combinations but nothing works for me. Please tell na what u r doing also if you are trying anything to reduce them?

    1. Thanks Parita! 🙂 Actually I bought maybelline color tattoo in fierce and tangy after reading your post and used as you recommended. It works quite well but I need something more to cover those under eye circles. Mine is hereditary too so can do nothing about it and I have a 2 year old son so don’t get much sleep too as I have to do all household work after he sleeps 🙂 I do use bobbi brown extra eye repair it works quite well in hydrating but my dark circles are so stubborn *headbang* Will be looking forward to laura mercier corrector review. Whatever you have done in this tutorial keep doing’s working great for you..your dark circles are almost invisible. Thanks again for all the info dear are a sweetheart! 🙂

  5. Hi parita, awesome tutorial.
