I’m a big fan of nose, chin and forehead strips as they are quite effective and come to my rescue in an emergency. So, today’s review is going to be on the chin and forehead strips from Hip Hop. Although the nose pore strips were an epic failure, I still thought to give the chin and forehead strips a try. Let’s read further to know about the product.

Hiphop deep cleansing chin and forehead strips are designed to remove dirt, blackheads, whiteheads, oil and also unclog the pores from the chin and the forehead area. The strip adheres to the dirt and oil in the pores and then they are lifted away as you remove the strip.

My Experience with Hip Hop Deep Cleansing Chin and Forehead Strips:
Packaging: Hip Hop Deep Cleansing Chin and Forehead strips come in individual plastic covers. Each packet has a pair of chin and forehead strips that are similar in shape and size. These packets come housed in a cardboard box of green and off-white shades. The package of the chin and forehead strips is compact and can be easily carried around. The outer box and sachet, both contain all the product-related information about the strips. The only good thing in this box is the Hip Hop Soothing Gel that comes in a little tube. The tube is easy to use and doesn’t dry out the gel as well.
About the strips and soothing gel: The size of the chin and forehead strips is quite big and covers the entire area of the forehead and chin. However, the material of the strips is light and paper-like. The soothing gel has the benefits of aloe vera gel, and it soothes the skin effectively. It cools down the skin post the usage and does not irritate the skin. This is the reason, why I said that the only good thing about this product is the soothing gel.
Usage/Result: Usually, I take a black tea steam facial to open up the pores and soften up the whiteheads. It makes the extraction much easier and effective. Then, I use the strips over my damp skin. Within a few minutes, the strips start to harden, and after 15 minutes, I couldn’t move my lower lip properly. Now, when it comes to removing them in the dry state, these strips hurt like hell. Previously, I have used many nose, chin and forehead strips, but not even a single one gave me pain like this one did. The whole removing process was such a headache. I had to literally hold my skin from one side to pull off the strips. While removing, I was scared of getting broken capillaries as the strips got harder along with the difficulty to remove.
The strips removed only fine facial hair, which was really disappointing. It didn’t remove any dirt or whiteheads. So, the whole painful process went in vain. Alternatively, when I removed the other strip by dampening, it left the residue over the skin making it quite a mess. Well, like the nose strips, chin and forehead strips from Hip Hop are an epic failure, as well. I would say that a local brand can do much more than the strips from Hip Hop. The soothing gel provided, has to be applied after using the strips. The soothing gel has the benefits of aloe vera and soothes the skin. I have normal to oily, acne-prone and sensitive skin, and I haven’t faced any issue with the soothing gel. I almost finished using it.

- Dos not remove dirt/oil.
- Does not remove blackheads/whiteheads.
- It did not unclog pores.
- It gets hard after drying, difficult to remove in dry state.
- Creates a mess over the skin.

Not at all. These strips aren’t worth the money, and there are many effective strips available in the market.
