Can you all guess that I’ve been shopping a lot lately? But, I love to write reviews, what can I do? It’s guilt-free shopping! 😀 Today’s review will be on a scrublet from the brand Hip Hop. I picked this up while I was in a beauty shop. I guess this is a new concept because I haven’t seen such a product anywhere. Let’s see how it fared for me!
Price: INR 150
My Experience with Hip Hop Pre-Waxing Body Cleansing Scrublet:
Hip Hop Pre-Waxing Body Cleansing Scrublet comes in a bright orange and gold coloured slightly bulky tub packaging and has details printed at the bottom. Inside the tub, there is a transparent lid, which prevents the scrublet from drying. There are 25 sheets inside, and they are a bit thicker. The sheets are soaked in a solution, and Hip Hop claims it as ‘Micellar Water’.
There are two layers in a sheet, a black sheet in between two white sheets. The directions on the bottom of the jar instruct one to throw away the black layer before using the scrublet. By doing so, you are left with a rough white surface, which you have to use as a scrub. It is basically a wet wipe but, a rough one that will exfoliate the skin and cleanse it too. It is an innovative product and is a boon for busy people, who don’t have enough time to exfoliate and cleanse their skin.
Ever since I’ve read that scrubbing your skin before hair removal offers the best results, I’ve been following it religiously, and I’ve seen a big difference in my skin texture. These sheets are so easy to use, once you get the idea about how to use them. They prep your skin for hair removal, which can be followed by waxing or even shaving. The sheet isn’t that harsh so, even women with sensitive skin can use it. The amount of pressure you apply decides the amount of intense exfoliation you want. So, if you want a bit harsher scrubbing, then apply some more pressure.
Usually, I use one sheet for one hand and one sheet for exfoliating half a leg. Considering that you don’t wax more than once a month, these sheets would last you quite long. But, if you shave, then you might need these a lot as compared to waxing. They smell like astringent, but the smell doesn’t bother me. The scrublet makes my skin feel clean and exfoliates well.
I like the product because it is handy, and you don’t necessarily have to carry a separate tube of your scrub. Just one or two sheets are enough for hands/legs. It did not dry out my skin but, I always use a lotion post waxing/shaving routine.

Will I Recommend/Repurchase Hip Hop Pre-Waxing Body Cleansing Scrublet?
It is nice to have alternative products. While some may like the actual cream scrubs, some might like this. I do recommend you guys to try this out and see for yourself which one you like the most.
