Homemade Conditioning Hair Mask: Do It Yourself

By Jai Rose

Hello Beautiful Ladies,

Today, I will be sharing with you a hair mask that I have been using for the past three years. You can use this mask monthly once or twice depending upon your convenience, but once you start using this hair mask, there is no turning back since it yields fruitful results. Well, you can try for yourself and see the amazing results this hair mask imparts.  I have dry, frizzy hair that no matter what I use does not show any improvement except for when I use olive oil. I have been using some hair masks with eggs in it.  I wanted a complete conditioning hair mask which does not make my hair smell bad but imparts shine to my dry hair. That was when I stumbled upon this excellent hair mask.

Most of the ingredients used in this hair mask are easily available, either at home or in the market.

Ingredients Required:

  • One Tablespoon of Castor Oil.
  • One Tablespoon of Glycerin.
  • One Tablespoon of Vinegar.
  • One Tablespoon of Amla Oil (you may also use Brahmi Oil).  I used Dabur Amla hair oil.
  • One Tablespoon of Shampoo. I used Oriflame milk and honey shampoo.

You can also alter the quantity of the ingredients depending on the length and thickness of your hair. I have medium, thick hair, so used just one tablespoon of each ingredient.

I combined all these ingredients and separated my hair into four portions and applied this mixture along the length of my hair from root to tip. Then, after half an hour, I shampooed my hair with Original Source shampoo.

Few Pointers:

Castor oil is known to give body (thickness) to hair.  Glycerine moisturizes the hair.  Vinegar helps in combating dandruff and restores the acid balance.
Amla oil acts as a herbal hair tonic  Lastly, the shampoo you are using is the medium for blending the ingredients. Since the time I have started using this mask, I have felt a remarkable change in the texture of my dry, rough and unmanageable hair. My hair is now smooth and manageable with imparted healthy shine from this mask.

  1. i wud love to give this a try..can i use any two hair oils? since i dont think ill get castor oil here or brahmi oil 🙁 also i hope we can substitute the shampoo as well?

    1. Parita you can use any shampoo you wish…If castor oil is unavailable then you can try using olive oil but i guess you can get amla oil easily in medical stores.
