White: Apply before eyeshadows for 100x’s vivid color.
Pearl: Apply before eyeshadows with pearl and iridescent for a 100x’s pearlized effect.
Skin Tone: Apply before eyeshadows to hold, intensify, and make eyeshadow last longer.
Product Description:
To get the maximum brilliant color of eye shadow on your eye, an eye primer is a must! Apply eye shadow base to eyelids, then apply NYX’s high-pigmented eye shadows and see the colors pop with vibrant and sparkling luster. Eye shadow base grabs and firmly holds finely milled powder so the color in the pot is what ends up on your eye – without a pinch lost. For 100 x brightening effect. Set base camp for true stay on, stay put and stay long eyeshadow colors!
My Take on NYX Eyeshadow Base in Pearl:
It contains very fine shimmer. It helps pop out the color of an eyeshadow. It increases the opacity of sheer eyeshadows. If you apply matte eyeshadows over this base, they turn shimmery.
I am not sure if one can carry off a daytime look with this base, but if applied very lightly, it doesn’t look too shimmery. At times, it does change the color of the eyeshadow by a shade or so.
Here is a picture where I have used sheer shimmery eyeshadow. You can notice that there is a slight difference in the shade when applied on the base.
It gives a smooth application and stays put the eyeshadow. It also helps control the fallout in case of shimmery eyeshadows. It creases after 4 hours in the hot and humid climate of Mumbai, but during winter, it can easily go upto 6 -7 hours. It may crease badly on very oily eyelids.
I tried splashing water and didn’t notice smudging even after patting it with dry cloth. I usually use olive oil to clean it off, but I tried using hand wash to clean the swatches and it did come off after rubbing 2 to 3 times, so I am guessing that it would come off even with oil-free makeup removers.
Pros of NYX Eyeshadow Base in Pearl:

- Inexpensive for the quantity and quality.
Cons of NYX Eyeshadow Base in Pearl:
- Quite expensive in India as compared to the other countries.
- May crease badly on oily eyelids.
- Creases in hot and humid weather.
- Jar packaging, you will have to use a brush or else keep hand sanitizer ready by your side.

This looks so similar to MAC bare study paint pot. The finish I mean. Does it stay for long? I have this in skin tone and I don’t like it 🙁
depends Bee my eyelids dont turn very oily so it works pretty well for me..but I heard that it creases badly on oily eyelids…. during winters it stays on my lids for 6-7 hours during summer it creases after 4 hrs or so… I will try the HD one from NYX I read pretty good reviews abt the HD one…
I totally loved the look of this beautiful base but really why use it when it creases. I have slightly oily lids so guess would be pass for me. But it’s soo pretty. :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot:
