Hope you all are having a great week. These days, I am on a lip gloss roll for sure. My last few reviews have all been about lip glosses. Actually, I found out that all my old glosses were either getting over or have got expired, so I threw them all out and now I am building a new collection :yahoo:
A couple of weeks back, I did a tiny MUFE haul and a lot of girls loved the gloss, so I thought I would quickly test and review it, so you all can get it soonest 😀
Product Description by Sephora:
Make Up For Ever recently released 35 shades of a new lipgloss formula, Lab Shine. The new formula contains small amounts of MUFE’s famous loose powder eyeshadows — Diamond powder, Star powder, and Metal powder — giving rise to three different high-shine lipgloss finishes.
$18.00 for 0.09 oz. (This one I have is a smaller version and I bought it as a part of a package).
They come in a cylindrical, plastic container with a screw top and the applicator is a brush-type applicator which I used for the first time and I would say it’s very easy to apply with that 🙂
My Experience with Make Up For Ever Lab Shine Lip Gloss Star Collection S2:
The S2 is a nude color with peachy undertones. If I were to review these in one sentence, I’d say “I love them and I want to have all 35 shades.” This is the most moisturizing and the lightest gloss I have ever used. It makes the lips feel very cushion-y and soft. The lips look very cushion-y too. I can say this because hubby noticed the luscious look they gave 😉 After the MAC Cremesheens, these are my favourite glosses. I love the fact that unlike some gloss formula, which look either painted, or smell yucky and medicinal, these look, feel and smell good. They don’t really have an odor or taste per se, but you don’t get a retching feeling which some glosses/lipsticks give. I am damn sure the formula has some different composition which is helping my lips. I got a very good feeling after applying this baby 🙂
So, summing it up:
Pros of Make Up For Ever Lab Shine Lip Gloss Star Collection S2:
- Extremely smooth.
- The consistency comes in between opaque and sheer.
- The finish is like an iridescent pearly type, extremely sexy 😉
- They come in 35 shades, everyone can find a shade they love 🙂
- They aren’t over-the=top glittery. They have very fine shimmer particles.
Cons of Make Up For Ever Lab Shine Lip Gloss Star Collection S2:
- $18 *sob sob*
- Other than that, I cannot find any fault with this.
4.5/5, I’m cutting half a mark for the cost.
This comes in my top rated gloss list 🙂 I will definitely try and repurchase other shades 🙂
