Lancome Indigo Darling Liner Design Long Wear Calligraphy Gel Eyeliner Review

A black eyeliner is my go-to makeup product, but recently, I have been experimenting with my eye makeup and I have come to realize that for a dramatic look, gel liners are the way to go. I have Lancome Indigo Darling Gel Eyeliner for an year now, but I wasn’t bold enough to wear a blue eyeliner, but recently, I have been gravitating towards it.

My Experience with Lancome Indigo Darling Liner Design Long Wear Calligraphy Gel Eyeliner:

This gel eyeliner comes in a typical glass jar with a black twist up cap on it. There is Lancome logo on the top of the cap and the name of the product is printed at the bottom of the jar.

As a brown-eyed girl, I like going with a “classic black eyeliner or kohl look,” so “Indigo Darling” was something quite daring for me. I use Real Techniques Bold Eyeliner Brush to apply this and the precision it gives me is amazing.

“Indigo Darling” is a stunning and unique deep blue colour and it’s highly pigmented. The eyeliner is smooth and creamy and glides on effortlessly. It takes one or two minutes max to dry and then you can smudge this instantly after you apply, but after it sets, it’s not going any where. Even at the end of the day, I don’t see any transfer on the lid. It’s budgeproof and smudgeproof.

It does not irritate the eyes or cause watery eyes, I have not experienced any stinging either.

Generally, I get a little creasing from the L’Oreal Gel Eyeliner but this stays put for hours, around 7 hours approximately. The shade “Indigo Darling” has some silver micro shimmers. It sets into a matte finish with a slight sheen and that might be because of the little micro shimmer.

Two layers delivers a full color payoff. I have never used it on the waterline because it has silver glitter which might not be that comfortable to wear on waterline. I can sport this eyeliner during day time as well as to office too.

At the end of the day, I take it off using Clarins Eye Makeup Remover.
