Today, I am on a roll with L’Oreal Color-Caressing lip balms, so here’s another review from the same range -“Femme Fatale Mauve.” It is like that safe tinted balm that you can wear wherever and whenever.

My Experience with L’Oreal Femme Fatale Mauve Intelligent Color-Caressing Lip Balm:
The packaging is the selling point of this range; I bet you cannot resist picking up a shade or two from the collection when you see them at the counter. The packaging is similar to the “Infallible” range with a twist where the caps are sheer colored and in sync with the shade of the balm. The shade name and number are mentioned at the base of the tube. The ingredients are mentioned on the outer transparent cover which is lost once you rip it off.
The texture is just like butter, it has a slip to it which is not uncomfortable but definitely unlike the thick healing lip balms. It is like a sheer layer of balm on the lips which imparts incredible shine. It would not be suitable to put a lipstick on top of it as the color would not sit on the slippery balm.
“Femme Fatale Mauve” is a light baby pink sheer lip balm that is light in terms of pigmentation. Considering my skin tone, it is not the best option out there as it has a milky hint in it, which is unflattering on my complexion. Thankfully, there are no shimmers in the shade, so it is still wearable. There is a typical candy-like fragrance to the lip balm, which is okay, but I am not too fond of it.
The staying power of the balm is 5 to 6 hours, although the shine vanishes in 2 hours or so, depending on the food and water intake. Even though the shine vanishes, the hydration remains for some more time. It is too sheer of a pink for my liking, but people who do not have pigmented lips might enjoy wearing this as an everyday tinted lip balm.

Recommend – if you really want to shell out that much for a light pink lip balm, go ahead.
