Under Eye Area: Dryness-Prone and Sensitive
I was using Innisfree jeju pomegranate revitalizing eye serum before this and thanks to it for visibly reducing my dark circles. However, I was still looking out for a more hydrating eye gel/cream/serum and came across this product. This eye gel from L’Oreal Paris focuses on providing adequate hydration only. Let’s get into the review to know more about it.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Hydrafresh Anti-Ox Grape Seed Hydrating Mask-In Eye Gel:
Packaging: L’Oreal Paris eye gel comes in a tiny magenta coloured glass pot with screw lid. The pot is very tiny such that it can be slid into the bag easily. I am not a fan of tub/pot packaging when it comes to skincare product, but I had to work with it. There is also a plastic lid provided to prevent the spillage. There is no information mentioned on the glass pot. The glass pot has an outer cardboard packaging which also doesn’t have any detailed information. There are only key ingredients mentioned on the cardboard box in English. The product lacks in providing complete list of ingredients.
Texture and Fragrance:
The product has gel-like consistency and smooth texture. It glides on the skin effortlessly and I don’t have to rub it hard to make it get absorbed. The consistency is perfect to work with. The formula is non-sticky and non-greasy, hence it does not feel heavy on the skin. The gel is transparent in appearance and has a very refreshing scent to it. The fragrance is fruity, mild and pleasant, though you cannot smell after it sinks into the skin.
When coming to the usage, I use it twice a day after cleansing my face. I take a very tiny amount of eye gel and apply it around the eye area. I gently tap for a few seconds to make it get absorbed. It spreads on the skin very effortlessly and takes a minute to get completely absorbed into the skin. This eye gel does not make the skin greasy or tacky and does not leave any sheen around the eye area once it get absorbed. After the eye gel sinks into the skin, there is no chance of the product getting balled up.
It’s been quite a time since I have started using this eye gel. It never irritated my eye nor made them watery. I use it all around my eyes which means under eye area and on eye lids as well. I absolutely love how my skin readily accepted this gel. Usually, my under eye area takes a few usage to adapt to new formula.
When talking about result, it is more than adequate in providing hydration and nourishment to the eye area. It provides instant hydration to the eye area, making it softer, smoother and plumper. It preps the eye area for makeup and does not let the product crease or slip. The eye gel also brightens up the eye area and eyes don’t look tired or dull. However, I cannot comment whether it is effective in treating puffy eyes or not, but it definitely refreshes the eye area.
The key point stated by the product is providing hydration that ultimately delays the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It hydrates the eye area so effectively that it would definitely delay their appearance. I have fine lines under my eye area since forever so, they don’t come in picture while considering the results of treating fine lines; hence, I gave it to my mum as well to see if it treats existing fine lines. She has mature skin and her eye area has developed fine lines now, though she doesn’t have wrinkles’ issue yet. The gel does the perfect job in hydrating the mature skin as well and it has shown slight reduction in the fine lines by plumping up the skin.
Overall, it is a wonderful eye gel unless you have dark circle problems. Aside from reducing dark circles effectively, it can do everything else.

Would I Recommend L’Oreal Paris Hydrafresh Anti-Ox Grape Seed Hydrating Mask-In Eye Gel?
I would recommend if you are looking for a heavy duty hydrating eye gel and does not have dark circles as main concern. It is not effective in reducing dark circles, but it is effective in plumping up the skin and smoothing it out.
