Basicare Soothing Mini Eye Gel Mask Review
I have small eyes and I wear spectacles or contact lenses the entire day. I usually sleep late due to my studies, duties or my habit to watch movies. As a result, I wake up with puffy eyes the next day. I saw this eye mask online and immediately ordered it. Being totally affordable, I wanted to give it a try.
Let’s find out my experience.
- Great for tired, puffy eyes, ease head colds, relieve tension, etc.
- Perfect for travel.

My Take on Basicare Soothing Mini Eye Gel Mask:
This mask has an attractive sea green-coloured packing. This mask feels quite cool on touch. It has an elastic band which is neither too tight nor loose. It fits me easily. I like the colour of this mask; I somehow feel that its very calming.
I have used this mask quite a number of times, whenever I have a headache or I want to kill time. I place it in the freezer for 10 minutes or in the refrigerator for an hour and use it. I have also placed it in warm water for a few minutes and used it.
When I applied this cold eye mask on my eyes for the first time, the feeling was awesome. It gave a very relaxing and cooling sensation to my eyes. The cooling sensation stays on for about 15-20 minutes depending on the temperature of the mask. The eyes feel relaxed even after removing it. True to its claims, it does help with headaches. I have used it when my eyes are tired due to strain from laptop or studies, and to my surprise, my eyes don’t feel as tired and strained after using it.
It definitely reduces puffiness the following morning. I didn’t see any effect on dark circles after using it for the first time, but with constant use, I can say that it does avoid formation of new dark circles a bit, but has no effect on my previous dark circles.
Pros of Basicare Soothing Mini Eye Gel Mask:
- Relaxes and gives cooling sensation to eyes.
- Soothes tired eyes.
- Helps with my headache.
- Like the color.
- Elastic band fits appropriately and doesn’t hurt.
- Does reduce puffiness to some extent.
- Reduces the formation of new dark circles a bit.
Cons of Basicare Soothing Mini Eye Gel Mask:
- No significant effect on dark circles.
- No drastic reduction of puffiness.
- Availability might be an issue.
Will I Repurchase Basicare Soothing Mini Eye Gel Mask?
It’s a good mask, but I want to try an eye mask from any other brand the next time, so that I can compare.
Do I Recommend Basicare Soothing Mini Eye Gel Mask?
Yes, I love the relaxing and cooling effect it gives to my eyes. Our eyes definitely need pampering after spending long hours in front of computer screens. Similar eye masks are also available in Faces and The Body Shop. Faces one is cheaper, I guess less than 100 and body shop one is in the range of 300.
