MAC Fanfare Lipstick

MAC describes fanfare as mid tone yellow pink.
Fanfare is a salmon pink lipstick . It is a creemsheen finish lipstick. Imagine Sheer sheer and some light pink lipstick married and had a baby. It would look like fanfare. 😛 It has alight coral touch to it. This is a very pretty color for those with light to medium skin tones. for darker skin tones I feel see sheer would be a better pick than this one. For my NC 35 skin tone it gives enough color and does not look washed out even when worn with very less overall makeup.
Testure wise Fanfare is smooth and pigmented. But just like most creemsheen lipsticks, it has a tendency to settle in the fine lines of lips. The staying power on me is around 3 hours and when it fades, I like to do the touch up. It goes deep in the fine lines of my lips and does not look pretty. But as a color on its own I quite enjoy using it both paired with smokey eyes and just with light makeup. It’s more like go to lipstick for me. Blush wise I find it best paired with orange, peach, coral or pink blushes.
On some it may look like a nude pink, on some more towards coral and on some coraly pink. It may even look washed out on girls with dusky skin tones. I like this lipstick but I like See Sheer more. 🙂

It’s gorgeous shade for fair skin ladies….but it wud wash out the color for most Indian skintone females 🙁
