MAC My Paradise Cheek Powder Review, Swatch, FOTD
MAC describe My paradise as peach pressed powder with gold hibiscus flower overspray.
Price : Rs 1,660
My Paradise is a peachy orange blush with a thick golden overspray. Those who are scared of wearing deep orange blushes, this is could be a good beat. It is not deep orange. It is peachy orange. The golden over spray is quite thick and I suggest that you don’t swirl your brush all over it . It would totally take away the beauty of the blush.
You can go from day to evening with the same blush. Use the non shimmery part during the day and just apply a bit of golden shimmer on top for evening. the shimmers are very finely milled and the goldne part only gives that glow to the cheeks without any shimmers. Just a touch of brush on the over spray gives enough product to apply on the cheek. And a little would go a long way.
The texture is sort of thin powdery. I felt that on my skin tone I had to build it up. It is not sheer but it is not full on pigmented. However for orange I do prefer that the colour could be built up than going all crazy with colour in one go. The texture is also slightly different form the regular mac blushes. It is not like satiny smooth. It is more powdery than the regular blushes but that has nothing do with its blendability. It blends pretty smooth and fine. Infact it doesn’t go patchy as well.
The staying power is pretty good on me. It has lasted almost 6 hours on me. And I could see the light wash of colour on my cheeks by evening.
The quantity is 4gm more than your regular blush, which is quite a lot.
My Paradise would work on a various skin tones especially medium to dusky. On me , it gives a nice warmth to my face. However, if you are someone who prefers fresh pink blushes, his may not be for you. I would however love to use it more during the summers than in winters.
Swatch : left without golden over spray, right- with goldne over spray. WIth overspray it looks much woarmer and would kinda give you that tanned peachy look.
FOTD – Applied both blush and overspray.
Orange Blush Comparisons: These are not the dupes. This is just to show how it compares to other peach and orange blushes.
Sleek Aruba is deep burnt orange (bottom). My Paradise is more wearble and has much softer orange tones to it.
MAC Hipness vs MAC My Paradise:
left – My Paradise more orangey peachy, MAC hipness- pinkish peach
Indian Makeup and Beauty Blog Rating : 4/5
Go for it : If you are looking for more wearable orange blush . It’s beautiful color and you can’t go overboard with it easily.
Skip it : If you don’t prefer the warm tanned look.
MAC My Paradise Cheek Powder would be launching with MAC Surf Baby Collection (launching next weekend).
