MAC Patina Eyeshadow

MAC describes Patina as Taupe Brown with Golden Pearl.
Patina is a frost eyeshadow.Correct to its description , it is medium taupe brown with golden micro shimmer. it has a frosty metallic finish to it. I am slightly on the edge of liking Patina. It is a nice everyday color .Some days when you don’t want matte eyeshadows for day time, Patina works great as a wash of all over color and adds a hint of shine to lids without making them look shiny or shimmery. The pigmentation is not that great but it builds up just fine. Texture wise it is smooth and blends easily. Also, it is a good transition color.
To me, it looks like a muted version fo MAC Woodwinked Eyeshadow. But woodwinked is more golden, more brown and speaks for itself. Patina has that taupe muted look to it.
The staying power is pretty awesome- stays until you remove it and does not crease.
Overall, not one of my favourite eyeshadow but a good one to have in the palette. It’s a good on the go color.

And this is the very simple look I did with Patina all over the lid and brown + plum eyeshadow in crease. I paired it with peachy coral makeup for face. 🙂 Hope you like it. 🙂
