I love peach and coral lip colors. A few days ago, I had reviewed the shade Vivid12, which is a nice coral shade. Today, I am going to review the shade Vivid 14 from this Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Matte Lipstick range. This is a super cute peach shade. Read on to know more about it.

My Experience with Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid 14 Vivid Matte Lipstick:
Packaging:
Just like other Maybelline lipstick ranges, this one also comes in a red cap and silver tube packaging. I don’t know why Maybelline doesn’t change its packaging at all. All the lipsticks look the same and it is difficult to find a particular shade at times. Also, the product details get lost once I open the packaging since they come printed just on the plastic cover. There is a colour-coded sticker at the bottom of the tube, though. Overall, the packaging is travel-friendly but I now want a new and chic packaging.
Shade and pigmentation:
The shade Vivid 14 is a very pretty summery peach shade with a little hint of coral. It looks so fresh and cute on the lips. It has a neon tone to it which makes it look so beautiful. It is a little difficult to carry but I love it. This kind of neon peach will wash out darker skin tones; it looks a little light on my medium skin tone too, but this factor doesn’t bother me. Basically, you will love it if you can carry this shade. It adds a nice, fresh look to my face. It looks natural as well as bright on my skin tone. It is a pretty understated color that can be paired with a lot of makeup looks.
I love this shade so much. I know this is not a super flattering shade for all skin tones, still I am addicted to such cute shades. Also, the shade doesn’t have any shimmers in it and it is really well pigmented. This shade needs only two swipes for the perfect color pay off. It can hide pigmented lips also.
Texture and quality:
I have noticed one thing about such peach shades, i.e. they always come with a patchy texture. But thankfully, this Maybelline one has a soft and smooth texture that glides so easily on the lips. It evenly occupies my lips and feels extremely light. It doesn’t feel patchy. But wish it glided a little more evenly. My suggestion – do not layer this shade up. Actually layering makes this shade look a little patchy. Otherwise it looks very nice on the lips. Its soft texture never dries out my lips and keeps them hydrated.
This lipstick provides a very nice, velvety-matte finish and it looks so beautiful on the lips. The finish is not 100% matte. I always prefer non-drying matte texture and it is just like that. Considering this lipstick has a velvety matte texture, it does transfer. This is a pigmented shade, hence my lips still look really nice. But this shade settles into the fine lines by the end of the day and feels dry on lips after a few hours. I need to apply a lip balm to solve this problem.
Staying power:
It stays long enough – for around 6 hours with a meal. It can survive lunch but not 100%. Since this is not a transfer-proof lip color, it looks faded after a meal. I think this is the only shade with such a low staying power. It also looks a little patchy and dry after a meal, hence needs to be reapplied. Yet it doesn’t look messy on the lips. Also, this shade is easy to remove.
Overall:
I love this shade. The quality of this shade is not as good as other variants, still I am so happy with this very fresh and peachy shade. I know most Indian girls avoid such shades, still it is a good one to try.

Would I Repurchase Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid 14 Vivid Matte Lipstick?
This range doesn’t offer a huge variety of shades, so I only love two shades from this range. But would love to try more shades if they launch some new ones.
Would I Recommend Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid 14 Vivid Matte Lipstick?
This is a good peach shade for fair skin tone. If you love such bright peach shades then this is a nice one for medium skin tone also. But you need to carry this shade well, else it might wash out your complexion.
