Today, I am going to review Maybelline Colorsensational Inti-Matte Nudes Lipstick in the shade “Pretty Please”, which is a part of their Creamy Matte range. My Experience with Maybelline Colorsensational Inti-Matte Nudes Lipstick Pretty Please:
The lipstick comes in the regular Maybelline Colorsensational packaging, what makes it different from other colorsensational lipsticks is matte n*de plastic cap, which is same for all the shades of the range and does not change according to the color family since it is the Inti-Matte Nudes Collection. The lipstick tube is rectangular and comes wrapped in a cellophane paper, which has necessary details about the product. There is a color-coded sticker at the base of the lipstick tube, which bears the shade name. The cap of the lipstick tube shuts securely making it purse-friendly. Overall, the packaging is nice and travel-friendly.
“Pretty Please” is a beautiful wine kind of shade with some plum hue. This is a pretty statement shade. It does not look too vampy and can be used on everyday basis. It brightens up the complexion. This shade is flattering for medium to dusky skin tones. This shade is flattering for most of the Indian skin tones. The lipstick does not contain any sheen or shimmers. It sets to a soft velvety matte finish. It looks creamy and slightly shiny initially and later it sets to a pretty matte finish. The formula is decently pigmented. One swipe gives semi-opaque coverage and covers the pigmentation of the lips upto a great extent. I apply two coats to get that perfect and even color on the lips. The color spreads evenly on the lips and never gets patchy.
The texture of the lipstick is good. Most of the matte lipsticks are drying or they cracks after sometime but the formula of this lipstick is buttery smooth. It goes pretty smoothly on the lips without causing any dragging. The texture is so soft and buttery smooth. Since, it is a matte lip color, so it has the tendency to cling to the dry patches of the lips, which is seen in almost every matte lip color. So, prior exfoliation and moisturization of the lips well is mandatory. It is so lightweight and feels super comfortable on the lips. It does not have a thick and heavy texture. The lipstick is very moisturizing and nourishing. It is a non-drying matte lipstick. It keeps my lips hydrated and nourished. It looks lovely on the lips and never gets patchy. The color stays at place and does not budge even after meals. It does not settle into the fine lines of the lips. The lipstick has a tendency to transfer a bit. I am happy with the fact that the formula is not heavily transferring.
The lipstick lasts for approx. 6 hours on my lips with a little fading. It survives light meals but does not survive heavy meals and fades away leaving a light stain behind. The lipstick stain can be taken off easily with a makeup remover.
