I have hauled a few lipstick from Maybelline’s Inti-Matte Nudes Collection. This range comprises of lipsticks from their powder matte and creamy matte collection. Today, I am going to review Maybelline Colorsensational Inti-Matte Nudes Lipstick in the shade “Raw Cocoa” that is a part of their Powder Matte range. My Experience with Maybelline Colorsensational Inti-Matte Nudes Lipstick Raw Cocoa:
The lipstick comes in the regular Maybelline Colorsensational packaging, what makes it different from other colorsensational lipsticks is matte n*de plastic cap, which is same for all the shades of the range and does not change according to the color family since, it is the Inti-Matte Nudes Collection. The lipstick tube is rectangular and comes wrapped in a cellophane paper, which has necessary details about the product. There is a color-coded sticker at the base of the lipstick tube, which bears the shade name. The cap of the lipstick tube shuts securely making it purse friendly. Overall, the packaging is nice and travel-friendly.
The shade Raw Cocoa is a light taupe brown shade. The color is apt for medium skin tones. It is such a nice everyday shade, which can be easily worn anywhere without looking over the top. The lipstick does not contain any shimmers or glitters at all. The lipstick sets to nice powdery matte finish since this shade belongs to the powder matte range. Though, it looks slightly shiny initially but later it settles down to a perfect matte finish. The lipstick is decently pigmented and it is capable of hiding pigmented lips very well with a few swipes. It gives semi-opaque coverage in a single swipe. Two-three coats are required to build up the color evenly on the lips and hide all the pigmentation.
Normally matte lipstick tends to have a dry texture but these are different. The texture of the lipstick is incredibly soft and smooth. The lipstick feels so buttery smooth that it glides on the lips like a dream and does not cause any tugging or pulling of the lips, which is a common concern with matte lipsticks. And, I am glad with the fact that these lipsticks do not break or detach from the base. The formula is great but it has the tendency to cling to the dry patches of the lips, which almost every matte lipstick has. Therefore, prepping the lips well is mandatory before applying this lipstick for smoother and healthy looking lips. The color does not settle into the fine lines of the lips. The formula is lightweight and feels comfortable on the lips. The lipstick is not very moisturizing. So, I prefer using a lip balm beneath every time I use this lipstick otherwise my lips get dry at the end of the day. The formula is smudge proof and the color does not smudge even after a heavy meal as well. There is very little transfer of color.
The lasting power is of the lipstick is again impressive. It easily lasts for around 5 hours on my lips with a little fading. The lipstick could not survive meals and requires a reapplication after meals. It is very easy to remove and wipes off completely without leaving any stain behind.
