While spring-cleaning over the weekend, I found out few products that I had started using but digressed to others. One of them was Michael Todd True Organics Anti Aging Face Lift Knu New You Serum. I had bought this serum along with MTTO’s Knu New You cream, as I wanted to try it as a combination. The serum is in many ways similar to the face cream but is more potent as it contents the nutrients in higher concentration.
The serum comes in a dark brown colored glass bottle which reminds me very much of Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair. The dropper is not the best feature of the packaging. It has an outer metal cover with a small plastic portion to draw out the contents. If you have long nails it becomes a difficult task to use the dropper. I also faced the difficulty of having the serum spilling from the dropper instead of coming out as drops. The serum is colorless but with strong vinegar fragrance. The serum has a sticky consistency.
$85 for 1.2 oz. (35 ml)
My experience with Michael Todd True Organics Knu Anti Aging Face Lift Serum:
The serum though appears sticky; it is in fact very lightweight. It gets easily absorbed in the skin on application. The problem starts after that because as soon as the serum gets absorbed, my skin feels dehydrated. As this is a serum I was not surprised by its behavior as serums are made to provide nourishment instead of hydration.
As I have dry skin I always layer my serums with face cream. But using MTTO’s Knu New You cream with this serum was not the correct option as it gives the same result as the latter. However this serum works ok when I layer with moisturizers like Khadi’s Peach Avacado lotion.
Though the product claims to lift, firm and improve elasticity on the skin, I did not observe any of the significant benefits. The product contains very good content list of Aloe vera, cranberries and green tea but none of these helped in providing noticeable changes to my skin. Given the price of the serum it made me sadder as I did not find any improvement in my skin tone. The serum contains snail serum, which is supposed to enrich skin and make it more radiant which I could never experience.
The serum along with the cream comes under the Knu collection from MTTO. The fragrance of the serum is very similar to its counterpart cream. The odor is very similar to vinegar and off-putting. The good thing is that the fragrance fades away soon after the serum is absorbed in the skin. Overall, I did not find any remarkable change while using this product.
Pros of Michael Todd True Organics Knu Anti Aging Face Lift Serum:
• Contains Aloe Vera, Cranberries, and Green Tea along with Snail serum.
• The product is 70% organic.
• Gets easily absorbed in the skin.
Cons of Michael Todd True Organics Knu Anti Aging Face Lift Serum:
• Packaging is not user-friendly, as the dropper does not work very well.
• Exorbitantly priced.
• Fragrance is very off-putting (though it fades away after serum’s absorption in the skin)
• Did not notice improvement in skin elasticity or firmness.
• Did not provide any noticeable anti-aging benefits to skin or enhancement in skin texture.
• Serum needs to be layered with moisturizing face lotion or cream.
1 out of 5.
Would I buy Michael Todd True Organics Knu Anti Aging Face Lift Serum again?
No I am not buying this product, as it did not benefit at all. The price of the serum is making it harder to toss it away and I guess that is why I have kept it back in my closet like I did the last time :’( :’(
