Today’s review will be on Lotus cell sheet mask from the well-known Korean brand Missha. Let’s see how it fared for me!
Price: 1-2 USD/2 Euros. (The price varies a lot for these sheet masks).
My Experience with Missha Pure Source Lotus Cell Sheet Mask:
Missha Pure Source Lotus Cell Sheet Mask comes packaged in a matte plastic cover. It is a white coloured packaging with the main ingredient picture on the front so, one can easily spot it from the stash. The packaging is very sleek and easy to travel with. The back of the cover bears the entire product-related information.
The sheet mask is a thin cotton mask, which is white in colour. The face mask comes soaked in a liquid serum. The serum is slightly thick and sticky. However, the face mask isn’t soaking wet but has a good amount of moisture to it. The mask is big, and hence, I have to make slits for it to fit well on the face.
Missha claims that this mask helps in brightening and purifying the skin. I’m not too sure about the ‘Purification’ part but, I can comment on the brightening effect it provides. It does brighten up your skin a bit. Especially if you are facing dullness because of Indian Summers, this mask will help you overcome the dullness.
I have been using these masks because it is very relaxing and the easiest way to pamper your skin. I wash my face with a face wash and then, use this mask for 30 minutes or until it is semi dry. Then, I take it off and pat the excess serum on my skin and let it be for another 15 minutes. Then after, I wash my face with plain water, no face wash. Then, I apply my night cream and doze off to sleep. Sometimes, I use a toner or aloe vera gel before using the mask. I always keep the mask in my freezer for at least 15 minutes before applying, because there’s nothing better than a cooling face mask after a tiring day of work and travel.
This sheet mask has a pleasant fragrance that doesn’t last longer. The mask sits comfortable on my skin, and there is no irritation when I have this mask on the skin, and it doesn’t fall off the face as the mask dries. It did not break me out. These sheet masks give temporary results but that’s okay because I like using face masks often anyway. My skin feels instantly refreshed and moisturized. I’ve been using these masks regularly since a long time and, I feel it has helped me in tackling the dryness. Usually, when I use a scrub or face wash, I had to apply a lotion, but now, I can skip the lotion and, my skin still doesn’t feel parched. So yay to that!
