Oriflame Calming Face Cream with Blueberry & Lavender Extracts Review

Oriflame Calming face cream with blueberry and lavender extracts

Hi everyone , 🙂

I am back again with yet another review. Today I will be reviewing a face cream I had ordered along with other oriflame products. Usually I don’t apply any cream on my face except for lactocalamine because I have sensitive and combination skin type. I read about wonders of applying night cream and I got lakme night cream but that too didn’t work for me and it made me break out badly. I got so petrified of face creams  and I switched back to my ex- that’s lactocalamine. Just when my skin got back to normal, fidgety me .. decided to experiment with yet another face cream and that’s when I ordered this face cream from oriflame.
So let’s get to our review –
PRODUCT: ORIFLAME calming face cream with blueberry and lavender extract
QUANTITY: 75ml
PRICE: 349 bucks (but I got some discount)

I randomly picked out this cream because I love anything with lavender extracts.. m a big sucker for fragrances hehehe and also because this cream is suitable for all skin types so I thought if it doesn’t work out for me, it will certainly work for mom hehehe… this cream comes in a pretty handy pot with lilac cover.. The cream is or perfect consistency of that between a body lotion and cream. The first thing when you open up the pot is the nice aromatic smell of the lilac colored cream…hehehe…

Claims:
Moisturizing day and night cream with 100% organic blueberry & lavender extract to naturally calm and soothe skin, leaving it soft and luminous. For all skin types.

Goodness of blueberries and lavender:

Blue berry

Blueberries have many uses as blueberry extract has been used in ancient herbal and medicinal treatments for thousands of years. The pigments in blueberries are powerful antioxidants. They have been determined to be a much-heralded chemical warrior cancer. Blueberries actually have the highest antioxidant capacity because of their large anthocyanin concentration. Many skin care treatments now use blends of blueberry extracts along with other herbs to help revitalize the skin and hasten healing.

Lavender

Lavender has a host of benefits when used in skin care products, but has great value in helping the skin heal itself, stimulating cell growth, reducing inflammation, preventing scarring and balancing the production of oil. Lavender also has anti-bacterial properties. It also tones the skin and coupled with all its other excellent properties make this one of the most useful essential oils for all skin types and a great help in sorting out a variety of skin problems.

My take on the product:

I absolutely love this product.I am so glad I got it . I have a combination skin type so I was so worried about this cream making me look too oily but that was not the case at all. I may warn that I started using this cream since October  so I haven’t tried it in summers yet . It may make my skin oily in summers .Let’s see.

Anyways, this cream is heavenly since it smells like berries and lavender which instantly calms and soothes you. The fragrance is long lasting too. It is not too strong neither too mild. 🙂

The next best thing about this product is that it made up of natural and organic ingredients.
Next thing I like about this cream is its consistency – it is just the right blend and it is very light weight and easily absorbed into your skin. It doesn’t make your face greasy after you apply it which is also another “plus point”. 🙂

The container is very handy and can fit in your vanity case easily. I carried this cream during my friend’s wedding and since this cream is DAY AND NIGHT cream .. I didn’t need to carry two different creams .. which was gre8 !! it is gre8 for travelling.. 🙂

This cream didn’t make me break out. I have a very sensitive skin which is prone to break out easily if I use some products other than which I can everyday. I use this cream after my CTM regime and it does magic because of its soothing aroma and right amount of moisture it provides.

Since this cream is meant only for face, a little amount is needed. The quantity of the product will be sufficient for long run. I haven’t tried using this cream on hands and legs  maybe I should try that too and see if it works…

The only downside I can think of this product is that it doesn’t have SPF in it. So you need to apply sunscreen separately if you use it during day time.

Rest of the things are fine. This product is great for all. DO give it a try. :))

  5. i’ve heard so much about oriflame’s skincare range, but never purchased anything from it. i always gravitate more towards the makeup section. i really should pay attention to these beautiful creams and lotions in future.

  6. I love moisturizer’s/face creams by Oriflame. I have the Grape antioxidant one… have also used the aloevera one. It is better than any other face cream I have used for my combination skin(except perhaps olay)… It just gives the right amt of moisture… doenst dry out my cheeks or make my forehead shiny!
