Oriflame White Tea Extract Moisturizing Gel Mask Review

Oriflame White Tea Extract Moisturizing Gel Mask

I am big time into face masks this summer. I have been collecting quite a lot face masks, in paste form, powder form, and clay form too. Oriflame white tea extract moisturizing gel mask is the first gel face mask that I have used. I am reviewing the gel mask today after using it for about 5 to 6 times now.

WHAT THE CATALOGUE SAYS ABOUT ORIFLAME WHITE TEA EXTRACT GEL MASK:

Moisturising gel mask with carefully harvested 100% organic white tea extract. Rich in antioxidants to revitalise your skin. Leave on for 10 min.

PRICE: Rs. 279 for 50 mL.

KEY INGREDIENTS:

ORIFLAME WHITE TEA EXTRACT GEL MASK
SIGNIFICANCE OF WHITE TEA IN COSMETICS:

Camellia sinensis
It is a name given to a shrub where the leaves are used for tea. The leaves are very dark green and the plant has white whiskery tiny flowers.

WHAT IS WHITE TEA?
Like green tea and black tea, white tea comes from the Camellia sinensis plant. In addition to boasting greater antioxidant activity than its green and black counterparts, white tea offers the least amount of caffeine. Since there’s no heating or oxidizing involved in its preparation, white tea is also recognized as the least processed tea variety.
Topically applied white tea may improve the immune function of skin cells and protect against harmful ultraviolet rays.
White and Green teas are well known for the healing properties when consumed, but recently scientists have found that they provide topical benefits as well. White Tea has been found to relieve the stress on cells caused by oxidation as well as boost their immunity.

MY TAKE ON ORIFLAME PURE NATURE WHITE TEA EXTRACT MOISTURIZING GEL MASK:

This gel mask has a wonderfully mild fragrance that calms the senses. It is a very clear gel and only a small amount is required to cover the entire face. Since, it is a gel, it settles as an invisible layer and does not dry out also. After 10 minutes, all I required was to wipe away the mask with a cotton swab and there is no messiness as is seen with pasty and powdery masks. As for the effects, there is nothing remarkable that I could see after cleaning off the mask. The only effect I noted was that it did not dry out my skin and it kept the skin well hydrated.

In addition to the white tea extract, this gel also contains almond oil, which I suppose takes care of the moisturizing part, but again, nothing that is truly wow. So, I don’t think this is a must-try product and can be easily skipped.

PROS OF ORIFLAME PURE NATURE WHITE TEA EXTRACT MOISTURIZING GEL MASK:

  • Lovely mild fragrance that calms the senses.
  • Non-messy application and removal of mask.
  • Only a small amount is required for the entire face.
  • Does not dry out the skin.
  • Skin feels supple.

CONS OF ORIFLAME PURE NATURE WHITE TEA EXTRACT MOISTURIZING GEL MASK:

  • Other than the fact that it does not dry out or stretch the skin, I saw no significant change even after 5 to 6 applications of this mask.
  • The cost is a little steep.

WILL I REPURCHASE IT AGAIN: No, I will try the other masks from the same bouquet.

IMBB STAR RATING: 2/5……+2 for hydrating the skin and -3 for showing no visible changes in the skin.
