Hello my gorgeous ladies! How are you all?
If you have been following my recent posts you would have noticed me cribbing about the summers in every post .:P but thanks to the sudden downpour yesterday the weather has become quite pleasant. Thank God!!
Anyways, lets come to the product of the day. It’s a lip gloss from Revlon in their range Midnight Swirl named Sassy Sangria.
Captivate with sheer tints of deep colour and shine with Revlon Midnight Swirl Lip Lustre, Sassy Sangria, 070. Unleash your inner vixen. The stunning lustre of Tahitian black pearls sets the mood for romance. Create luring lips.
It is priced at $4.99 for 6.4ml.
My experience with Revlon Midnight Swirl Lip Lustre Sassy Sangria:
The first thing you notice about this product is a uniform swirl of red gloss and blackish glitter all-round the bottle. I found it cute. Unfortunately, this pattern spoils with the very first use. Anyways, the gloss is packaged in a typical transparent bottle with a silver cap to it which is quite sturdy and travel friendly. The applicator provided is a nylon small brush which allows easy, uniform and mess free application of gloss.
Coming to the texture of the gloss, it is smooth and creamy which spread evenly on the lips without settling in the fine lines. It is a bit sticky but I think that’s manageable. There are little dark glitters inside the bottle that add to the shiny effect of the gloss. Unlike, other sheer glosses which have a very poor colour pay off this gloss has a rich red colour which is just commendable. I was a bit apprehensive when I saw the shade from outside as it seemed to be a dark maroon but only one swipe is enough for a perfect red colour. I have even noticed that it makes my lips look fuller and added brightness and glow to my face.
This lip gloss easily stays for 3 hours if you aren’t eating or drinking anything otherwise a slight touch up is needed. As I mentioned earlier the colour payoff is quite good that even after it has faded it leaves a nice light red tint on the lips. The formula is quite moisturising that makes your lips quite soft and supple.
It has slight fragrance of raspberry to it which I found quite pleasant. Finally, I would say it is a nice product altogether I am quite happy as I usually do not prefer red shades, this product was good to start and experiment with. It’s a safe bet without anything to loose .
