My Experience with Rimmel London The Only 1 Matte Lipstick – The Matte Factor:

Packaging: Rimmel London The Only 1 Matte Lipstick comes packaged in a red colored slick barrel like casing. The only difference is the color of the casing as the previous range was in black color. The lipstick has a color-coded ring in the middle and also has a color-coded sticker with the name of the shade at the bottom. The lipstick itself is in a slanted shape, which I love. The product has a strong fruit-candy kind of smell, which may be bothersome for women with sensitive noses.

Shade: “The Matte Factor” is a beautiful, deep berry shade with a red undertone. It is a universally flattering color, which is suitable for all skin tones. I really love the shade as it is a gorgeous fall color.

Texture: The texture of this lipstick is very creamy which gives a velvety satin matte finish to the lips. This lipstick is very moisturising; I feel like applying a lip balm onto my lips. This lipstick doesn’t dry out the lips, which is great when compared to the drying liquid lipsticks.

Pigmentation: The lipstick is highly pigmented, which provides an opaque coverage in a single swipe. Since it is not a true matte lipstick, it transfers a bit, but that can be accepted as the lipstick glides on the lips without any tugging or pulling. This lipstick feels comfortable on the lips as it can be worn on chapped lips and doesn’t highlight the dry patches.

Wear Time: The wear time of this product is around 5 hours after which it fades away gradually. But, reapplication isn’t a problem. This particular shade leaves a beautiful stain on the lips which can be easily removed with a makeup removing wipe. Overall, it is a great matte lipstick with an amazing pigmentation.

Pros of Rimmel London The Only 1 Matte Lipstick – The Matte Factor:

  • Gorgeous berry shade.
  • Creamy consistency.
  • Velvety matte finish.
  • Amazing pigmentation.
  • Feels hydrating on the lips.

Cons of Rimmel London The Only 1 Matte Lipstick – The Matte Factor:

  • Transfers a bit.
  • Strong fruity smell can be bothersome for women with sensitive noses.
