Recently, I bought a few products from Sephora. So, today’s review is about their Cream Lip Stain in the shade “16 Cherry Nectar”. Read on to find out how it became one of the best liquid lipsticks I own.

I am obsessed with liquid lipsticks that I stopped using my normal lipsticks. I always wanted to buy the Sephora Cream Lip Stains, after seeing all those great reviews in IMBB, but they were not available in Australia. They introduced these lip stains last month here. So, as soon as it came out here, I quickly grabbed this shade.

Packaging: The Sephora Cream Lip Stain comes in a transparent see-through tube with a black cap. The name of the lipstick range is printed on the tube while the brand name is printed on the cap. The shade number is printed at the bottom of the tube. The see-through tube makes it easy to identify the shade. It comes with a regular doe foot applicator, which facilitates precise application of the product. This lipstick has a beautiful smell just like a vanilla cake.

Shade: I ordered this shade online thinking it is a typical cherry color but, it is actually a deep berry color with a purple undertone. I simply love this shade, which will look flattering on a lot of skin tones. I think this is a close dupe of Ofra liquid lipsticks in the shade “Cape Town”. I wanted to buy that Ofra lipstick for so long but, I am happy now since I got a closer match.

Formula: The Cream Lip Stain has a comfortable, creamy texture more like a liquid lipstick rather than a stain. This lipstick glides on easily and settles into a matte finish within a minute. Once it dries, it stays put on the lips without any smudging. It has a good pigmentation; one swipe gives an opaque coverage. This lipstick feels very lightweight and comfortable on the lips. It doesn’t dry out the lips, unlike most of the liquid lipsticks do. Also, it doesn’t accentuate the dry patches on the lips.

Wear time: The Cream Lip Stain has an amazing staying power. It stays for almost 10 hours without any smudging or fading. It survives meals; I couldn’t see any significant difference on my lips even after an oily meal. And, it is a transferproof lipstick, which is a huge plus. Though at the end of the day, it fades a bit. Thus, it is a beautiful shade with a good pigmentation and staying power.
