Step-by-Step Festive Makeup Tutorial – Monochrome Sparkling Copper Makeup Look

The festive Season is knocking at our door and as I am a Bengali, Durga Puja is the biggest festival for us. Now, Kolkata is preparing for puja and we are shopping like crazy. I mean, shopping for puja is also a huge responsibility. I, somehow, love these pre-puja days and it has its own story actually. It brings refreshment in our lives and the City of Joy starts a new story of the year. Only a bong can relate to this feeling. As the festive season is here, I decided to start a festival makeup series that will help you to create puja special looks as well. This first look is perfect for a puja night which goes beautifully with a western outfit. It is actually a monochrome copper makeup look with some sparkling glitter. I love monochrome makeup look which brings a new trendy style to this festive season. Now, let’s get into the step-by-step tutorial.

Face:

I started with my face makeup. First, I moisturized my face and then, I used my foundation and blended that with a buffing brush. Next, I used a concealer on my under eye area. To set everything well, I applied a compact powder. This foundation already provided a natural glow on skin, so I went for a natural bronzed look. So, I applied a light bronzer on my cheeks and smoothly blended that. I, then, applied a pretty coral blush on cheeks and also applied a natural beige highlighter on the highest parts of my face, bridge of my nose and forehead as well. Finally, to set everything well, I sprayed some facial mist and dabbed it onto the skin.

Eyes:

Step 1: First, I filled my eyebrows with a brown eyebrow pencil and then, I applied a warm copper brown shadow on lids and crease area and blended that shade smoothly to create a natural crease line. It defines my eyes well and gives a deeper look.

Step 2: I used that same deeper copper shade on the outer corners to make it a little bold and then, used a beige shadow just below my eyebrows to highlight that area.

Step 3: Next, I dampened a flat eye shadow brush and with that, I applied a bright copper shadow on the eye lids. I blended the shade smoothly with a blending brush.

Step 4: Next, I applied that same brown copper shadow on my lower lash lines and also used that same dark copper shadow on the corners.

Step 5: After that, I applied a brown kajal on my water lines.

Step 6: I then curled my lashes and applied mascara on my both upper and lower lashes to define them perfectly.

Step 7: Finally, I used a glitter base and applied that with a small flat brush on my lower lash lines.

Step 8: Then, with the same brush, I applied some copper glitters on my lower lash lines. I have created a nice medium line with that.

Lips:

To finish this look, I used a bright orange lipstick. As it is a monochrome makeup look, I applied the same bright copper shadow on top of my lipstick and it helps to provide a nice metallic finish.

Here is my final look. I just love how beautifully these glitters enhance the entire look. Generally, we all love to use glitters on eyes but most of us prefer to apply it on the lids. So, I just wanted to make it a little different and more wearable this time. I paired this look with a black top and kept it pretty simple. Though it is a sparkling makeup look, still I do feel that it is a very wearable makeup which you can carry with any outfit. This eye makeup is quite simple and easy to create as well and still, it has a nice festive vibe to it. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
