Festivities are not all about ethnic looks; you can easily go for an Indo-Western look as well. I love sarees with Indo-Western look and like to go for bold makeup looks with them. Here, I tried to create a bold and unique look for you all. I always prefer bold eye makeup with nude lips,so for this look I opted for orange winged eyeliner. I tried to keep the look as bold and sexy as I could. So, let’s get started with the tutorial now.
I started with the eye makeup first and used a base primer.
Next, I used a black gel liner as the base for my smokey eyes. I then applied a thick liner on my upper lash line and lid area.
I smudged the gel liner smoothly with my finger and then used a smudging brush to make it look natural.
Next, I applied some black matte eyeshadow on top of the gel liner and blended it smoothly. Keep blending until you get a smoky look.
Next, I used a maroon shadow on the crease and just above the black shadow. I blended everything well to create the smoky effect.
Next, I used a transition orange shade to neutralize all the previous colours and uneven lines. It helps to get a beautiful smoky look. Keep blending until you get that perfectly smooth finish.
I then applied some black shadow again to increase the intensity of the colour and blended it well.
Next, I used a highlighting shade on the corners just to highlight the area.
I applied the same black shadow on the lower lash line. I used the orange shadow to smudge the line and make it look natural.
Next, I have drew a nice winged liner on my upper lash line with an orange liquid liner.
I also applied orange liner on my waterline.
To finish this look, I applied a light highlighting shade just below my brows and filled up my eyebrows. Next, I curled my lashes and applied mascara.
After completing my eye makeup I dusted all the fallout from my face and cleaned that area. Then I applied a concealer on the under eye area and also hid minimal imperfections. I then used a foundation on my face and blended it with a buffing brush. To set my base makeup, I applied a compact powder and used a bronzer to contour my nose, cheeks and jawline. I actually wanted a brown, tanned tone and a bronzer always helps to achieve that look.
I also baked my face for this look. I applied some translucent powder on my under eye area, bridge of my nose, just below my contour area and kept it for few minutes so that it sets well. Then, I dusted the powder and blended it well on the face. To complement this look well, I used a cinnamon pink blush on the cheeks and also applied a light golden highlighter on the highest parts of my face. To set everything well, I used a rose mist on my face and dabbed my makeup with a sponge.
Since this is a bold eye look I kept my lips natural. So, I applied a perfect mauve nude lipstick on my lips.
Here is my final look. I wore an orange lace saree with a black blouse. I love this self-designed saree and this makeup complemented my outfit perfectly. I hope you like this gorgeous bold winged eye makeup. You can easily carry such looks during the festive season.
