I use epilator to remove hair from my legs and arms. It is definitely more time consuming and painful but gives long-lasting result and is also less brutal to my skin. Razor gives terrible burns, especially on my thighs. The skin on my legs also suffer from “strawberry” appearance from hair removal. Hence to make my skin smother and hair removal less painful and efficient, I have some tricks up my selves which remedy the problems to a certain extent. My Experience with Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub Passion Fruit and Guava:
This product comes a big tub – the kind which is common for body scrubs. It has a screw on lid and the tub has a wide mouth to scoop out the product while in shower. To touch, it feels like sugar mixed homogeneously in a gelatin-like emulsion. It is cream white in color and smells of guava, which is amazing.
This scrub claims to contain organic shea butter which is a rich source of Vitamins A, E, and F which help collagen production and promote skin elasticity. Shea Butter also softens and smooths skin. It contains passion fruit extract which is rich in Vitamin A and C to help cell growth and reproduction and guava extract which nourishes, protects and helps treat skin discoloration. It also contains safflower seed oil, evening primrose oil, sweet almond oil, avocado oil, macadamia seed oil and orange oil which have amazing skin improving properties.
It mostly contains sugar and glycerin with goodness of other essential and beneficial extracts, oils and butters. It does contain silica which gives it a slippery texture, whic makes it easier to apply on skin and massage which is a big drawback of homemade scrubs.
The fragrance of this products is very pleasing and is a huge selling point of this product. I use it right before I epilate my legs. I massage a generous amount of this scrub while mixing it with really hot water (I prefer scalding hot water for my shower). I do the scrubbing for a few minutes to open my pores and wash it off with, again burning hot water. This makes my hair softer and easier to remove. This also makes my skin smoother, prevents hair stubble or bruises. I try to use this scrub daily, especially on my legs to avoid ingrown hair and “strawberry” appearance of my legs. It makes my skin smooth and soft and make them shine more after epilation.
