I bought this lip scrub along with a couple of other shower and body care essentials from my local Ulta store. It must be evident by the several lip balms and lip scrubs that I try and review that my biggest skin concern is dark, pigmented lips and the dryness they suffer from. I try a lot of different lip products to battle the flaky buildup on my lips. Also, my lips need regular exfoliation every other day because they get dry and ruin lipstick application. My Experience with Tree Hut Shea Sugarlips Lip Scrub:
I have tried body scrubs and body lotions from the brand “Tree Hut” and I have enjoyed using all of them. Hence I was really excited to try out this lip scrub because – it is from a brand whose products I have started to enjoy a lot, and secondly, the packaging is really cute.
The product comes in a tub packaging with a lid on top. The packaging looks sturdy and well-made and I especially have an admiration for tiny packaging. This product contains sugar granules in a petrolatum and shea butter medium. Apart from that, it contains jojoba seed oil and peppermint oil.
I apply a small amount of this product on lips, spread it on like a lip balm, and then gently rub it for 30 seconds to 1 minute with a finger, as if drawing a circle, to exfoliate dead skin. I then wash off my lips with warm water.
This scrub managed to remove dry and flaky debris from my lips. It has fine gritty particles in it which help in exfoliation of skin. This scrub leaves my skin soft and smooth, without drying them out, the way a wet towel does. It is mildly abrasive on lips but does not harm lips as long as gentle motion is used.
This scrub has a minty fragrance because of the presence of peppermint oil. Another advantage of the presence of this essential oil is that it slightly plumps up the lips and makes lip color application easier.

Would I Repurchase Tree Hut Shea Sugarlips Lip Scrub?
I love this product and do recommend it to all those who suffer from dark, flaky lips and need to exfoliate their lips regularly. It preps lips for lipstick application, it makes them smoother and softer and makes lipstick application easier.
