My Experience with Vega Silky Flat Hair Straightener VHSH-06:
Packaging: The straightener comes securely packed in generously sized bubble wraps and enclosed in a cardboard box. The box houses all product details. Nothing new, but a practical packaging.
For the longest time, I wanted to purchase a straightener. Well, I have been blessed (or cursed) with curly, frizzy hair and having shiny, silky, smooth mane for even a day is a dream for me. But I have steered clear of hair styling products for fear of damaging my hair.
But recently, I got my hair cut and the side swept bangs just refused to stay set. While my hair was being styled, it looked oh-so-perfect. But when the styling effect wore down, the bangs looked disastrous. They curled horribly and gave such a weird look. I realized I desperately needed a straightener to set things straight (literally!). So while I got to wearing a hair band, I got this hair straightener as an emergency aid. Why this? Well, this was quite affordable and the pink and black color combination looked cute. So, I thought why not?
Let’s start with the color. It is a nice aesthetically pleasing combination that looks sassy and sophisticated. The pink and matte black device with minute designs is very pretty. It is a sleek iron – very convenient to hold and use. It comes with a quite long wire – something you will definitely appreciate if you don’t have a switchboard near your dressing mirror.
It has ceramic coated plates that help add shine to hair and tame frizz as well. I like that it doesn’t make my hair dry or rough and gives a nice smooth finish. It heats up within seconds. It gives straight hair, courtesy the high heat it generates. But the biggest flip side is that it doesn’t have a temperature control. So you need to be careful and switch off the iron when you feel it’s too hot.
The plates are elongated and not too wide. The sleek clamps go smoothly on hair, not grasping many, and uniformly straighten them. It comes with a unique lock system that clamps the plates together – very perfect for travelling. Right from the cord to the lock, the design to the plates – everything has been created very thoughtfully. The cost reduction has been due to lack of temperature adjustments. I use it primarily for straightening my bangs and some hair from the back to set them. It works pretty well.
It hasn’t aggravated any hair loss or caused dryness. Satisfied with this. If you are interested in a basic straightener, try this one.
