VLCC Ayurveda Natural Fairness Facial Kit Chandan and Kesar Review

VLCC has recently launched four new facial kits in their ‘Ayurveda’ range. Earlier, they had launched four face washes and now these facial kits have the same variants. I generally don’t go for monthly facials, especially chemical-loaded ones. I feel home facial kits work best for me as they help me achieve an instant glow. I picked four of these; two for my mom, two for myself. My mom tried this one. Let’s see how this one fared for her.

My Experience with VLCC Ayurveda Natural Fairness Facial Kit Chandan and Kesar:

Packaging:
The facial kit comes in a yellow-brown colored paper box with detailed information printed over it. It is a small box and contain five small tubes that are nicely placed on a plastic tray. I really prefer such tube packaging as they are hygienic and travel-friendly. Each tube contains 10g of product, so I can use them twice. Overall, I am impressed with the packaging and it is a very affordable kit for everyone.

Fragrance:
As the name already suggests, the kit contains ‘chandan’ and ‘kesar’, so it has a strong divine scent of sandalwood and saffron. I personally love this fragrance and it feels so fresh and soothing. I think such ayurvedic fragrances are liked by everyone and last quite long as well. This scent reminds me of traditional Ayurvedic experience.

Step 1:

Face Wash – The first step is to cleanse your face deeply and the face wash works perfectly to make skin clear and fresh. It is a nice yellow colored gel that glides well and removes dirt and excess oil from the face. It makes skin clear and bright as well.

Step 2:

Face Scrub – This scrub comes in a smooth gel-like texture and it has white scrubbing microparticles. It blends smoothly and is a gentle scrub for sensitive skin. It makes skin smooth and removes its dull texture, too. It helps to makes skin clear and removes dead skin cells, but due to the presence of fewer scrubbing particles, it is not very effective on blackheads.

Step 3:

Face Gel – This is a nice lightweight yellow gel that glides easily on the skin but it dries out little quickly so I have to use rose water along with the gel. Hence, it smoothly blends on the skin and gets nicely absorbed. The formula makes skin fresh, soft and smooth. It also helps to make skin tight and oil-free. This gel doesn’t need to get rinsed off.

Step 4:

Face Cream – The massage cream has a medium creamy consistency and feels light on the skin. It glides well, but as a cream, it dries out a little during the massage. This problem can be solved by using rose water along with this cream. You have to keep massaging with the cream for around 15 minutes and then rinse it off. The cream gives a soft, supple and smooth skin that also helps to improve the skin texture. It instantly makes skin tight and healthy. It never feels oily or greasy but provides hydration to the skin.

Step 5:

Face Pack – The final step is the face pack and it has a medium creamy consistency, which glides smoothly on my skin. A decent amount of the product is required to cover full face. It dries out quickly and the consistency is a little thin. The pack works well and provides a bright glow to the skin. It is quite easy to rinse off.

Results:
Now, the product claims to provide natural fairness but honestly I don’t need to be fair at all and it can’t make you fair. So, don’t expect anything like that. Here, fairness means a bright glow on the skin and this kit does provide a nice glow. It makes skin oil-free, fresh, clear and bright. It also tightens the skin. My mom has used it and her mature skin looks quite youthful and bright.

The dull, tanned texture of the skin has turned fresh and clear. It provides a good amount of hydration to the skin but still her dry skin needed a moisturizer. Though it can’t reduce her dark spots or pigmentation but adds a bright glow to the skin, which is definitely a nice option for that instant glow. But, like all other facial kits, the glow lasts just around 2-3 days. Overall, we had a nice experience with this facial kit.
