I am in a major de-cluttering mode, and I am clearing my makeup stash too. Old lipsticks, mascaras, brushes, oily foundations and so on – all down the bin! So, I am getting more space to store new makeup products! Yayy! Anyway, I will be reviewing a skin care product today, which can be a welcome product in your routine. Read on to know how VLCC Skin Tightening Facial Kit fared for me and my mom.

This specially prepared VLCC Skin Tightening Facial Kit is based on age-old Ayurvedic recipes which have been developed for specific treatment by using latest scientific production techniques. This kit contains 5 sachets each of Indian Berberry Face Scrub, Lime Massage Gel, Wheat Skin Tightening Cream, Geranium Face Pack, plus one vial of Vitalift. Use one sachet of each product and a few drops of Vita Lift in the Lime Massage Gel for a single facial.

The kit is different from regular cardboard box packaging used by Lotus and Biotique kits. VLCC Skin Tightening Facial Kit comes in a big zip lock bag which has compartments for the 5 products – scrub, gel, cream, pack and serum. There are 5 sachets which are hot pink in color, along with an instruction manual. The packaging is very sturdy, but being bulky, it isn’t very travel friendly. However you may carry the individual sachets for trips.
My Experience with VLCC Skin Tightening Facial Kit:
I bought this kit for both me and mom, as I wanted to try out new things and skin tightening is what my mother’s fair and dry skin needs. The price seemed okay, and I got this delivered at my doorstep.
Firstly, each sachet contains enough product for 2-3 uses. Yes, so 5 sachets can easily be used for 10-12 times and I use products quite liberally! The downside is that it is difficult to store the half-used sachets!
The 5 products are: Indian Berberry Face Scrub, Lime Massage Gel, Wheat Skin Tightening Cream, Geranium Face Pack and Vitalift serum.
The Indian Berberry scrub is creamy and grainy, and provides good exfoliation. It isn’t mild but doesn’t feel very abrasive, and hence it’s perfect for my sensitive and my mother’s dry skin. It has a mild pleasant smell. Skin looks clear and bright, with noticeable difference around my nose and chin which have blackheads, whiteheads, ingrown hair and redness.
The second product is lime massage gel which I adore. The smell is citrusy and perfect for summers. It gets absorbed into the skin and makes for a good massage base. My mom mixes Vitalift serum in it, and her face looks bright and radiant. I use this lime gel for gentle massage, and my skin looks refreshed and soft.
The wheat skin tightening cream is thick and extremely hydrating. It has a strong smell of kesar-pista kulfi (which I love), but sensitive noses may be averse to it. I often skip this, as my often oily skin doesn’t need intensive moisturizing. But my mom loves this massage cream, which she massages into the skin. It takes time to absorb, but provides a good bout of nourishment to dry skin.
The final step is the pack, which comes in a white powder form. It is a bit difficult to mix it to the right consistency, I would have preferred it in a pre-mixed condition, ready to apply. Well, this pack dries quickly, but after washing off skin looks fair and fresh.
My mom applies the Vitalift serum after this, to lock in the goodness. I pat a toner on my skin. My mom’s and my skin looked so bright and glowing, and the effects stayed for a couple of days. After using it for 3 times, my mother’s skin seems a bit firmer and her jawline has a tighter look.
Overall, I am happy with this facial kit and might consider repurchasing, if I don’t get bored by the time I finish it.
