I experiment with different skin and hair care products, but there is one thing I have never changed. My sunscreen! I have been loyal to Lotus Herbals 3-in-1 matte look daily Sunblock with SPF 40 for years! However, on an impulse, I ordered VLCC Ultra Radiance Tinted Sun Screen Souffle with SPF 50 PA+++, just to see whether I could tread out of my safe zone. So here is my review of the same.
Orange is considered as a boon for skin care as it fights blackheads, dead cells, acne, pores, blemishes, dark circles and dry skin. It also removes tan & brightens the skin. VLCC Ultra Radiance Tinted Sun Screen Souffle with SPF 50 and PA+++ is enriched with orange and many other natural ingredients that protect your skin from harmful UVA & UVB sun rays. In addition, its gives a light feather texture to the skin with a glowing radiance. So go ahead, enjoy the Sun!
INR 399 for 40ml
I must say I am impressed with the efficient pump style bottle. Lotus sunscreens, which came in the typical tube, had a lot of product accumulation near the mouth of the tube, and I had to clean it every now and then. The sleek and handy cylindrical bottle has all the details regarding the product, along with two caps, a smaller one for just the pump (wow), and a larger one for the cylindrical bottle. It is definitely travel-friendly!
My Experience with VLCC Ultra Radiance Tinted Sun Screen Souffle SPF 50 PA+++:
First, let me tell you why I got this product. It claimed to be tinted soufflé, and that too with SPF 50 and PA+++. This means it is a broad spectrum sunscreen with ample sun protection, with a hint of coverage, so suitable for daily use. The fragrance is sweet and calming, and fades away after some time. But nonetheless, I feel so refreshed on just applying this soufflé.
The texture is moderate – not runny, not thick, and gets spread evenly. I would say around 75% of the product gets absorbed into the skin, but a shine remains and a slight oiliness prevails. It provides enough hydration to skin; in fact I feel even dry skinned ladies who are looking for a lightweight hydrating sunscreen can try this. Normal skinned girls would undoubtedly love it, because there is no dryness plus great sun protection.
The tint is present, but it provides a sheer coverage (I didn’t expect more). Rather it brightens and makes skin look fresh! My combination-oily skin likes it and on hot humid days, I prefer setting it up with Maybelline White Superfresh 12HR Whitening + Perfecting Compact. The product doesn’t cause excessive sweating, or give a heavy tacky feel. Without a compact, there is an oily shine on my face, which can be blotted away or touched up by compact. I am happy with the product, and might consider getting a repurchase.
