Today’s review is about Yves Rocher Blue Kohl Eye Pencil. Blue eyeliner is a statement by itself. Not many tend to use it as it creates a very bold look. This happens to be my first blue eyeliner. I always wanted to try it but found it quite bold. Finally, I found a shade of blue which suits my skin tone and also does not stand out. I love the way it looks and can be worn to office too. My Experience with Yves Rocher Blue Kohl Eye Pencil:
The kohl pencil comes in a plastic skin cover. So you can be sure that it has not been swatched by anyone else. The packaging is hygienic. The kohl pencil is more like a normal pencil with wooden cover and the kohl lead inside. It has a protective transparent cap. The cap is made of good plastic and does not break even after many uses. Overall, the product is handy and a must-have in the travel bag.
The kohl itself is dark blue in color. It’s the kind of blue which suits all skin tones, especially the darker skin tones. The kohl pencil can be used to line the top lid like an eyeliner or under the eyes too. I have also used it for waterlining and tightlining. The pencil glides smoothly and softly all over, making it very easy to use, even for beginners.
I normally use it in the morning and my eyeliner does not require any touch-ups till the end of the day. The product lasts for a long time on the eyes. When used as an eyeliner, it does not flake due to the soft formula. It also does not smudge when applied on the waterline. I have started wearing colored eyeliners other than black to work, specially during gloomy days.
This eyeliner is perfect for days when you want to add a little color to your look or eyes. The color is such that it will not pop or make your eyes stand out. It’s pretty subtle. This is what I like about this eyeliner. The product has a very slight shimmer which is visible when observed very closely. The color payoff is really good and it stays so the entire day.
It’s not waterproof which makes it perfect for me since I wear contact lenses. The product can also be wiped out using makeup wipe at the end of the day. I get excited every time I use this product. I have used it for the smokey eyes look and it worked just great. For this price, it’s a perfect find. I just cannot recommend it enough. It’s cruelty-free too.
