Hieee beauties,

Today I’ll share an easy-peasy, yet effective DIY beauty recipes for you all to try out. And the best part of these recipes is that they are fresh and untainted. Try these recipes and pamper your skin with these homemade products. I have used ingredients which can be procured comfortably and are listed along with their benefits.

DIY Wheat germ oil

Aloe Vera: I have used Patanjali Aloe Vera gel but you can try some other brand you trust or you can take some gel from the Aloe Vera plant. Aloe Vera has healing properties due to it’s anti-inflammatory nature. It is a boon for your skin as it nourishes, soothes and moisturizes it.

Almond Oil: In spite of my oily skin I did not skip this oil for the nutrients it will add to my skin. It is rich in vitamins A, B, E, which works wonders for skin. Apart from providing glow, it did not block my pores, improved complexion, gently calms and hydrates skin. From my personal experience I can say that it helps to eliminate my dark circles.

Wheat Germ Oil: Wheat germ oil is the best source for Vitamin E, which is very beneficial product for both skin and hair. It helps to fight free radicals, as a result of it’s rich antioxidant properties. Also, acts as an anti-ageing product because of it’s property to regenerate tissues. Hence, it’s presence in most of the anti-ageing skin creams approves it.

Vitamin E Capsules: Apart from the Vitamin E I get from wheat germ oil I want to add some more of it. I know that being greedy is bad, but I am sure this will benefit me. Vitamin E capsules can be bought from local medical stores easily.

1. Massage Gel and Under Eye Cream:

My first recipe which I like the most is Massage gel. I have tried to add all the richness I could so it nourishes my skin well.

Ingredients:

  • Aloe Vera gel,
  • 4-5 drops of almond oil and
  • 4-5 drops of wheat germ oil, break one vitamin E capsule.

Mix all these ingredients well. Massage your face with light strokes for about 10-15 minutes. You will find this mixture not getting readily absorbed as it is oil based. Since, I have a very oil skin I used a mud mask after massaging this gel, so that extra oil maybe absorbed. Before massaging I even steamed my face for about 5-7 minutes to open my pores followed by scrubbing.

After this entire process I found a nice natural glow on my skin feeling very soft and supple. It did not make my skin appear extra oily later, apart from my natural oiliness. I even used the left over gel as under eye cream at night. It contains all the properties to prevent wrinkles and dark circles. If you find Aloe Vera gel heavy for under eyes, you may simple combine Wheat germ oil and Almond oil, massage lightly and leave it. Use it daily and you will notice reduction in premature fine lines and dark circles. You can even use it as a body lotion.

2. Wheat Germ Hair Oil:

Wheat germ oil contains loads of Vitamin E, therefore I wanted to add this to my daily oil. This is how I used this oil to treat my hair fall.

Ingredients:

  • Wheat germ oil,
  • Almond oil,
  • Vitamin E capsules and
  • Any base oil of your choice (I have used Amla hair oil)

Mix 10-15 drops of almond and wheat germ oil. You may even add few essential oils, but I have skipped this part. Adding 1-2 Vitamin E capsules helps instantly control my hair fall to some extent. For one time use these many capsules are sufficient, but if you are storing your oil then add few more capsules. Base oil can be Amla oil, Coconut oil or Olive oil etc…. Now, slightly warm the oil mixture and massage your hair for 10-15 minutes and wash next day. It softens my hair and I see comparatively less hair fall each time I use this. I have prepared this mixture and stored it. I hope so it benefits you.

3. Wheat Germ Oil Lip Balm:

Ingredients:

  • Wheat germ oil,
  • Almond oil,
  • Vitamin E capsules and
  • Vaseline or any other petroleum jelly.

Add some water in a pan and bring to boil. Take a small bowl and add Vaseline jelly. Put this bowl in boiling water such that it doesn’t submerge. As the Vaseline begins to melt add 6-7 drops of Almond oil. Remove the bowl from water and then add 6-7 drops Wheat Germ oil and break one Vitamin E capsule. I used a toothpick to mix it because using a spoon will lead to the wastage of mixture.

Pour the mixture into an empty chapstick or any small container. Leave it for 5 minutes in a freezer to set it. Now it is ready to be used. It has a very smooth texture and leaves your lips moisturized for hours. And yes! It really helped to lighten my lips. But, don’t reapply very often otherwise it may dry up your lips.

Let me know if you tried any of the recipes and if it worked for you.
