Hello IMBB!!!
I have been using quite a few things off late to keep my skin as well as my hair healthy so just thought of sharing with you as well. All these things are very easy and will not require much of efforts.

Hair Oil
We all have the problem of dandruff and itchy scalp specially when weather changes. We have something for you which can keep most of the scalp related problems at bay if you use this regularly. There is nothing easier than this.

coconut oil

Things you need:

  • Coconut oil or Olive oil-2 tbsp
  • 2 camphor tablets
  • 5-6 drops of lemon juice

Method: Take the oil in round steel bowl. Heat it on low flame. Take off the flame and add the camphor by crushing it into powder with your thumb and first finger. Now finally add the lemon juice and mix well. Apply this to the roots of your and leave overnight. Shampoo normally the next day.

The above mentioned mixture is for one time use only. You cannot store the mixture as it contains lemon juice and moreover this is a sort of hot oil treatment, so best when prepared just before application. You need to be patient and regular for the effects of this oil to show up.

Hair Pack
All of sudden you have to attend a party and you do not have time to go for that much needed hair spa! Don’t panic. We have something which will give you better results without hurting your pocket much. All you need to do is let this pack sit on your scalp for 45 minutes and then wash your hair thoroughly using a mild shampoo of your choice. Let your hair dry naturally and there you are with healthy shining hair.

Things you need:

  • 2 ripe Avocados
  • 1 tbsp Coconut oil or olive oil
  • Small towel to cover your hair
  • Boiling Water
mashed avocados

Method: Mash the avocadoes into a fine paste and mix the coconut or olive oil into it forming a mask like consistency. Now divide your hair into sections and apply the paste with the help of a brush or hands. Let it dry for 30 minutes. Once it dries off partially take the hot water, dip the towel in it and squeeze off the excess water. Wrap this around your head covering all the hair. Wait for 5 minutes and reaper 3-4 times. Let it be like that. After 10 minutes take out the towel and wash your hair followed by a good conditioner or hair butter. Say hello to beautifully shining, soft hair.. :)

Face Pack

We are all sorted in case of the hair departments but what when it comes to brighten skin instantly. Well we have something for that too.

Things you need:

  • ½ cup fresh yoghurt
  • 5-6 drops of lemon juice (for oily skin)
  • 1 camphor tablet
  • A pinch of Turmeric
  • 5 Powdered Almonds
  • 1tbsp honey
Lemon juice

Method: Wash you face thoroughly with the cleanser meant for your skin type. Mix all the above mentioned thins in a cup and form a paste. Taking small quantities of this mixture, rub in outward circular motions on you facial skin. Be gentle while rubbing. After about 5 minutes of scrubbing let the paste sit like that on your skin for some time. Again after 5 minutes take a few drops of water and massage gently using your fingers in circular movements forming the figure of ‘8’ on your face. Once you are done let the pack dry off completely. Rinse with plain water and pat dry. Once dome follow with you regular moisturizer if required.
Your are now glowing with a clean fresh radiant skin..:)

P.S.: If you are allergic to any of the ingredients mentioned above I kindly advice you to stay away from them. The above mentioned mixtures are purely based on personal experience.

hey ishani,
one thing i want to ask is…can lemon juice be left overnight in hairs?? because as far as i know citric acid triggers whitening of hairs…leaving it for one or two hours is fine but not overnight i guess

Lemon juice when used alone can cause whitening but when mixed with oil and applied it causes no harm!
