I must say I gave into the hype and jumped onto the Rimmel bandwagon, since these hit online stores recently. It is not like I haven’t used Rimmel before, I did get some lipsticks and shadow singles from England but these sounded just too tempting and then there is the thrill of online shopping looming large all the time! Lets see what I got myself from Rimmel.

I got a couple of lippies (or more on second thoughts) and two quads. I will review the other one soon. I played safe and bought myself a wearable shade, I have a couple more, it is my duty to help you shop by reviewing new makeup on the scene :D

First off, I loved the colors a lot.I thought this will a day wear/office wear quad. But it turns out so, the pigmentation on this quad is horrid! The colors though very wearable, are very chalky, something I did don’t expect from Rimmel after paying 415 INR for the quad. I must say I am quite disappointed.

The colors are great for highlight, for crease and one of them my fav, the dirty gold one is oh-so-pretty but barely shows up. over all, a major disappointment. May be the prime reason being warm skin tone, this eye shadow goes on really subtle on me, which I could use to my advantage.

If you still like the quad, use it on a primer, and really build it up,it is so chalky that it might have absorbed oil from the lids which made it stay crease-free for three plus hours :P

Here are some similar palettes. Revlon custom eyes shadows and Loreal Open eyes pro.

Last word:

We have used better and Rimmel can do better, this is chalky, less pigmented and very subtle on me.
