Shahnaz Forever Neem Face Wash Review

Shahnaz Forever Neem Face Wash

In search of that one perfect face wash, I stumbled upon Shahnaz Forever Neem Face Wash. When I first noticed this product, I thought, Shahnaz Husain products are never this cheap, this has to be a fake. As it turned out, it was not. The SA claimed that this product changed her life (she had acne-prone skin) and I was not exactly convinced, but no harm in trying a neem face wash, right? I started using it and I have finished a tube of it, but nothing has really changed as far as my acne-prone skin is concerned. It was a lot like Himalaya’s Neem Face Wash, but costlier in comparison.

What it Claims:

A gentle and refreshing face wash gel for routine cleansing of the skin .Removes impurities without disturbing the moisture balance, thus protecting the skin and leaving it clean and fresh.

This is how my tube looks. I used almost all of it in the hope that it will bring about at least some change.

This is how the gel looks.

It does not look very green here, but the gel is green in colour and has a neem and lemon smell. I don’t like it if the smell of the face wash lingers for a very long time, this one didn’t.

What it Does:

The face wash didn’t dry up my skin, but it was not able to remove the oil as well. The face did not feel clean even after washing instead it felt as if I hadn’t washed it well and the oil was back soon enough. No improvement in the zit department as well.

What it Contains:

There is purified water, neem extracts, aloe vera and lemon peel extracts written in bold in the list of ingredients. It also contains glycerin, sodium laureth sulphate, phenoxyethanol( a glycol which acts as a bactericide) and preservatives but what caught my eye was Diazolidinyl Urea as it has the potential to cause an allergic reaction. Fragrance has also been added to it.

Cost:
Rs. 90 for a 100 gm tube.

Shelf Life:
3 years from the date of manufacture.

Pros of Shahnaz Forever Neem Face Wash

• It is not expensive considering it is from Shahnaz Husain.
• Not tested on animals (I just couldn’t think of anything else but I tried).
• It doesn’t dry up the skin.

Cons of Shahnaz Forever Neem Face Wash

• Aren’t there too many chemicals for a herbal product?!
• Doesn’t help the zits at all.
• For oily skin, it is not effective.
• Packaging is not very attractive.

Will I Buy it Again?

Nope!
