We all want to have a perfect ten figure and we want to lead a healthier lifestyle. But that never completely happens! Sometimes we are fooled by the smart tactics of sellers, and sometimes we give in to our own sweet temptations. Let’s find out how you can take baby steps towards a healthier and fitter you.
1. Have A Heavy Breakfast
We have a whole day ahead of us in the morning time, so try to have a filling and healthy breakfast with dessert. Oh yes, I said it right! Instead of having your sweets after dinner, have them with your breakfast; it is actually healthier. Your lunch should be moderate and your dinner should be very light.
2. Eat Your Dessert and Not Drink It
Do not get fooled by advertisers as they can sell us even the unhealthiest of things with smart advertising. Do not buy all those sweet drinks off the shelves that have clever names to make us think they are healthy.
3. Have Crunchy Fruits or Snacks
Apples, nuts etc keep our mouth busy for longer times when we munch on them. They give us fuller stomach and we crave lesser to no sweets. And remember, chips do not come under this category, no matter how crunchy they are!
4. Know The Ingredients
You must have seen the word “natural” written on many food boxes; well it just means that the product has been derived from plant or animal. It does not mean that it is healthy and the label does not clear out how many treatments those oh-so-natural ingredients have gone through. Also real, actual fruits and fruit flavoured are completely different things.
5. Monounsaturated Fats are Healthy
This kind of fat is healthy, and it is found in olive oil, avocados, walnuts etc. This kind of fats help to metabolize the fat levels and also keep cholesterol levels under check.
6. Sneak Fruits and Veggies into Everything
Add fruits and vegetables to everything you eat. If you are in the mood for a dessert, then you can always have frozen fruits with yogurt.
7. Eat Naturally Sweet Foods
It is for all those people who can’t curb their sweet tooth. Instead of eating sugar packed processed foods, include a lot of naturally sweet foods in your diet. Such foods will help you to cut back on bad sugar and will motivate you to eat healthier.
8. Don’t Go Shopping Hungry
When you want to go grocery shopping, do not go on an empty stomach. A hungry and grumbling stomach will make you reach out to the unhealthiest of foods in the world. Never ever succumb to last minute cravings as they will always be unhealthy.
