My Experience with Boots Seventeen Blemish BB Balm:

The blemish balm comes in a shiny black tube and a screw on cap. The nozzle dispenses a small amount of product. The tube is encased in a black cardboard box. Product details are written on the tube and the box. Overall, the entire packaging is very sassy, convenient and easy to travel with.

A friend of mine had got this from a Boots store in London. I didn’t expect him to match my shade, and the shade he picked up is “Light.” This is more or less a close match to my skin, a tad lighter but workable with proper blending.

It is a sheer-medium coverage balm, which does cover some blemishes. The best thing is that it imparts a smooth and even look to my face. I dab and blend it, apply lipstick and I am good to go. It has a velvety matte finish, but might cause stretchiness to dry skin. On my normal-oily skin, it works pretty fine; however, blending is slightly challenging and I would recommend moisturizing your face to achieve an “even” look.

It’s a very comfortable formula, that wears for long, and my skin looks radiant and smooth for 5-6 hours easily. For extra wear time, I brush my face with a dusting of W7 Banana Dreams Loose Powder and I am set for the day. It significantly reduces my pores and makes my skin look so better. I remove it with oil cleansing method, as just a face wash doesn’t get rid of it completely.

It has SPF 25, which might leave a whitish cast on face. If I don’t blend it well, especially on the edges of my forehead and jawline, it stands out from my original skin tone. This is not recommended for flash photography, but photographs pretty well during daytime.

Pros of Boots Seventeen Blemish BB Balm:

  • Sassy, travel-friendly packaging.
  • Economical.
  • The shade “light” will suit pale/neutral fair skin.
  • Smoothens face.
  • Has SPF 25.
  • Makes skin look very even toned.
  • Sheer-medium coverage.
  • Diminishes pores

Cons of Boots Seventeen Blemish BB Balm:

  • Can leave a whitish cast if not matched with skin tone.
  • Slightly difficult to blend.
  • Doesn’t hide deep blemishes.
  • Not ideal for flash photography.
