Today’s review is all about Collistar Foundation + Concealer Total Perfection Duo. It is my first high-end foundation + concealer and, I can’t wait to tell that I have fallen head over heels in love with this product. Till date, I have used drugstore foundations like Maybelline, Revlon and Lakme. But, I’m stuck to Maybelline Fit me for years now. I was not ready to move out of this comfort zone but decided to give this high-end foundation a try. Here is the detailed review of it.

My Experience with Collistar Foundation + Concealer Total Perfection Duo:
Collistar Foundation + Concealer Total Perfection Duo comes housed in a small cardboard packaging. I love the packaging as it looks very interesting. The concealer and foundation come in a single tube itself. However, the concealer is integrated into the cap, which has a flap lid. There is a mirror in the flap lid, which is not really useful due to the small size. But, it will help in case of emergency 😉 The foundation comes housed in the squeeze tube with a screw lid. The nozzle of the foundation is very narrow, making it convenient to have a control on the amount of product dispensed. The tube is made of plastic, which makes it a travel-friendly one.
The consistency of the foundation is liquidy. It is slightly thicker than Maybelline Fit Me foundation. I only need a small amount for my face and neck. I apply the foundation in small dots and then, blend it with my Artdeco brush, and the result is just WOW!!!
The consistency of the concealer is creamy. It’s not a liquid but a really thick cream. I need to use my fingers to take the product and dab under my eyes. When I rub my fingers against the skin, the product melts a bit because of the heat. The amount of product required to conceal my puffy eyes is very less. I do not have dark circles under my eyes, and hence, I use the product sparingly. The concealer and foundation do not look cakey, and the coverage is extremely good. The foundation covers all my pores and acne marks.
The final look was so flawless that I could not believe my eyes. I felt that my skin looked and felt too perfect. The product does not feel heavy and does not make my skin oily. I wear the foundation every day for around 8 to 9 hours, and it stays put without any problem. Unlike the drugstore foundations, it does not crease along the laugh lines.
I picked up the shade “n.8 Toffee”, which I think is slightly darker than my skin tone, but would be perfect for summer months. Next time, I shall pick shade 7, which will be a match for my skin tone in the winters. Coming to the cons, since the concealer and foundation is a pre-packed match, one cannot choose a concealer of their choice. A lot of women prefer using a lighter shade concealer, which isn’t possible here.

Cons of Collistar Foundation + Concealer Total Perfection Duo:
- Have to buy the concealer and foundation as its packed. No flexibility to pick lighter/darker shade concealer.
- No refill possible for concealer (it might get used up if used more) then, you are left with foundation but no concealer.
- Integrated mirror is too small to use.
- Expensive (but, totally worth it).
