I got this Deborah Euphoric Shine gloss along with my blush a few months back. You can check the blush’s review here. Deborah Milano is an Italian brand and its products are making way in the Indian market too. The blush from Deborah is my HG daily wear blush and I wear this gloss almost everyday too. Also, I am looking forward to buy its colour copy foundation, which is recommended by a lot of makeup bloggers.
What The Company Claims About The Gloss:
Deborah Euphoric Shine Lip-gloss was made by Deborah Group Laboratories which explored the boundaries of skin biology (Neurocosmetics) to offer a revolutionary lip gloss with euphoric effect. Euphoric Shine Lip-gloss contains EUPHORYL™ Ω 3 and Blue Poppy Extract It is also enriched with Omega 6 and 9, Vitamins B and E which hydrate your lips without a sticky feeling.
The ‘Euphoric Shine Gloss’ is built on the idea of Neuro cosmetics, giving lips not only a lovely glossy makeup, but an instant sense of well being, protection from external aggressors and intense nutrition. With an ultra soft applicator. Hypoallergenic. Available in 14 shades.
The shade that I have is 13. It’s a beautiful nude shade and looks like caramel on the lips 😀
The gloss comes in a decent packaging and with a soft, sponge tip applicator.
My Take On The Deborah Euphoric Shine Gloss:
I always prefer glosses over lipsticks and this is the major reason I have a lot of lip glosses, but a very few lipsticks. A few months back, I spotted a Deborah counter and tried a few products there. Of all the things, I could zero in only a blush. I liked their foundation too, but thought I should finish up the ones that I have presently. The SA requested me to try this gloss and told me that it is based on the principle of neuro cosmetics. I had never heard of this term “neuro cosmetics” before and asked her more about it. All the SA could tell me was that it has a positive impact on you and makes you happy. I am not really a person who would fall for such marketing gimmicks, but I really liked the particular shade, which she had shown me, so I ended up buying it. I reached home and googled about “neuro cosmetics.”
This is what I found:
Products qualifying as neuro cosmetics are formulated with active ingredients that have a positive impact on the nervous system “of” the skin and trigger the release of for instance dopamine, that in order improves the microcirculation of the skin (by making it “happy”) and therefore making the skin more radiant and beautiful.
Now, coming to the gloss, it leaves my lips with a perfect glossy nude, caramel colour and keeps them soft, hydrated and supple. It does give my lips a brilliant shine even though it does not have any shimmer at all and that’s what I love the most about this. The gloss is very lightweight on the lips and is almost non sticky. The pigmentation is good and can be built upon by applying 2-3 layers of the gloss. The staying power is about 2+ hours after which it starts to lighten, but I am not complaining as I love to re-apply this :D. It has a slight fragrance /taste of vanilla, caramel and toffee which I like.
Coming to the neuro cosmetics science behind this, as claimed by the company, I felt no sense of happiness or any sensation in my nerves after applying this 😀 😀 . Shiny glossy lips do give me a high (as in happiness high), but that happens when I apply any gloss that I have and not just this particular gloss 😀 😀 😀
Overall I like this gloss a lot for my day/daily wear makeup and it has found a permanent place in my hand bag.
What I Like About Deborah Milano Euphoric Shine Gloss:
• Gives my lips a brilliant shine sans any shimmer.
• Provides good hydration to the lips and keeps them soft for long.
• Decent 2-3 hours staying power.
• Nice packaging and soft applicator.
• Tastes/smells of vanilla and caramel which I like.
• Doesn’t settle in fine lines.
What I Dislike About Deborah Milano Euphoric Shine Gloss:
• Deborah products are sparsely distributed.
• No mention of list of ingredients.
• Confusing claims like neuro cosmetics, omega molecules etc.
• Is a little expensive at INR 595 for a gloss.
