Deborah Milano Eye Design Quad – So Brown
Today, I will be reviewing my second eyeshadow quad that I bought after being inspired by reviews and eye makeup tutorials on IMBB. The first one being Maybelline Diamond Glow By Eye Studio – Copper Brown 01 reviewed here.
Rs. 595, got it for discount at Rs. 505
Glides on effortlessly and each hue can be worn separately or blended to achieve custom colours and coverage. Each palette encloses 4 coordinating shades. Available in 6 colour harmonies.
My Take on Deborah Milano Eye Design Quad – So Brown:
The eyeshadow comes in a beautiful package which is slanting oval kind. The top transparent cover is quite thick and thus is less prone to damaging the quad. The foam-tip is a little slanting one too. Though, I tried to apply the eyeshadows with it, I didn’t find the same comfortable at all. I am using the eyeshadow brushes from The Body Shop for the same.
A clear description of how the colours should be applied is given behind the quad, serves useful for the beginners. I was actually searching for Maybelline Chai Latte Quad for many days on an online site. Since it was not available, I finally picked up this.
There is very little fallout. The colours crease easily when used without a primer and lasts for very less time, 2-3 hours maximum, but with the primer, they last for a long time, 4-5 hours after which they begin to fade. Mostly, by the time I get back home, there is hardly any colour on my lids.
The colours have sheer shimmer particles which are not over the top and all the colours are quite nice and wearable to work everyday. I love the darkest brown in the quad and use it to fill my eyebrows and use the 2 and 3 colours for the eye makeup and the first one for the brow line.
Pros of Deborah Milano Eye Design Quad – So Brown:
- Colours are beautiful, love the dark brown in the quad.
- Very very fine shimmer, can be worn at daytime without any issues.
- Pigmented colours with less fallout.
- Stays for 2-3 hours when worn with a base.
- Packaging is quite different, neither oval nor round.
Cons of Deborah Milano Eye Design Quad – So Brown:
- Applicator is of no use and can be directly thrown away.
- Colours fade away quite quickly when applied without base.
- Availability could be an issue, haven’t seen in stores, but only at e-commerce sites (correct me if I am wrong).
- Little pricey, similar shades available in Maybelline at lesser rice (Maybelline Chai Latte quad).
- Contains parabens.
