Wish you all a very happy Diwali. The entire country is celebrating this festival of light and I just love the festive vibes. Diwali not only brightens up our house it also brings fresh light into our lives as well. In Bengal, we celebrate it as ‘Kali Puja’ and we love to decorate our homes. This traditional makeup look goes with all outfits. Let’s get started.
I started with my face makeup this time. I first moisturised my face well and then used a primer to fill up the pores. These steps made my skin smoother. After that I applied my foundation with a blending sponge.
I mixed two drops of argan oil with my foundation for dewy finish. I also used a cream contour to contour my face and used a highlighting concealer under my eyes, on the bridge of my nose, and just below my contour to brighten up my face. Next, to set everything, I used a compact powder and blended everything well smoothly.
Next, I used a bronzer to contour my face and applied a natural-looking pink blush on my cheeks. After that, I also applied some beige highlighter on the highest parts of my face. To set everything well, I sprayed on some face mist and dabbed my makeup to set it.
On my eyes, I first put a tape on the outer corner. This trick helps to get a sharp eye makeup look. After that, I applied a reddish pink shadow on my crease to define it well and blended it smoothly with a round blending brush.
Next, I applied a blue shadow on the outer corners as well as on the crease area. I blended it with a light hand process and mixed the colors with the previous shade.
Next, I used a magenta shade on my lid and just below the blue shadow. I mixed the shadow with the previous one and blended the harsh lines smoothly.
I used a golden eyeliner and created a nice winged look. I also created a small wing on the inner corner as well. Then I removed the tape and cleaned that area well. I applied some compact powder on that area as it helps to make the skin brighter.
Next, I used the same magenta shade on my lower lash line and topped it with the blue shadow. Hence, it turned out purple on the lash line. I blended the shadows smoothly for a natural look.
I used the same gold liner on my waterline as well and finished the look by applying some lash defining mascara on both lashes.
Finally, I filled in my eyebrows and applied a light highlight shade just below my brows.
A festive makeup look is never complete without pretty bright lips, so I applied a beautiful plum pink lipstick on my lips.
Here is my final look. I paired it with a deep blue dress and I also added some bright traditional earrings. Initially, I kept my hair open but ended up creating a bun to show off my earrings. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and would like to recreate this look.
