I always love thick bold brows and Maybelline Fashion Brow range is one of my favorite. After their dual shaper and cream pencil, they have launched this new Fashion Brow Pomade Crayon range. But it didn’t impress me a lot. Read on to know more about it.

My Experience with Maybelline New York Fashion Brow Pomade Crayon Deep Brown:
This eyebrow crayon comes in a nice black and brown chubby twist-up crayon pencil with a transparent cap. I like that it’s retractable and is safe from sharpening. It is quite easy to use. I find that it has a nice travel-friendly packaging and it is quite affordable as well.
This pencil has two shades option and I picked the darkest one called Deep Brown. It is a natural medium brown shade but not too dark. I like this shade and it is good for Indian skin tones as well. It looks very bold on my face and provides a nice color to the eyebrows. But it is not the darkest one. I wish they have more shades. Now, the shade is much pigmented which requires only a few swipes to get the perfect look. Thankfully, it doesn’t look overpowering either.
This pencil has a nice soft creamy texture that glides easily on the brows without any hard effort. It blends easily and provides a very natural finish. This formula has a nice waxy base that helps to hold the hair in place. It never feels patchy or dry and gives a nice smooth, soft tinted finish. As a fashion brow crayon, it gives that perfect fill-up look to my brows. It provides thick and bold brows, which is perfect for all occasions. If you are a person who likes that super bold thick look, then it is a great option. It takes only a few minutes to fill up the gaps between brows and provides a deeper look.
This is a different style brow kit and I have never used any big crayon before this. Now, the basic fact is that it is good to fill up eyebrows but not to define them. As, I have just started using it, so it still has a nice tip but once I use up a little more, it will lose its small tip, and then, I don’t know how I will be able to use it. I have thin brows, so I need to define them first, but with this chubby crayon it is a little difficult to get that. So, I always prefer to draw my brows with a sharp pencil and then I fill my brows with this crayon. This is best if you already have thick brows and just want to fill them up. It will work great on thick brows.
This pencil has a creamy texture, so it does smudge a little if I touch my brows. It is not a 100% smudge-proof pencil and I also notice a little messiness around my brows. I have super oily skin and I sweat a lot, so by the end of the day it looks faded and the outer line looks messy as well. For this reason, I always avoid it to line up my brows. Otherwise, it lasts quite good for around 4-5 hours nicely. It is definitely not the best brow pencil for my oily skin. But if you are blessed with good brows and just want a natural fill-up look, then it is a good one. I like their other two brow products over this one.

- Limited shade range
- Big tip can’t define or draw brows sharply
- Might create a problem in application when it will lose its pointed tip
- Creamy formula smudges on skin
- Not best for oily or sweaty skin
- By the end of the day, outer line looks messy
- Not an all-day wear brow kit

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Maybelline New York Fashion Brow Pomade Crayon Deep Brown?
If you have thick brows, then you can try this, but you must read the cons before buying it. For me, it is not the best one, so I will not repurchase it.
