DIY Kiwi and Cinnamon Pore Cleansing Face Pack

Skin type: Normal to oily, sensitive and acne-prone

Greetings everyone,

Today, I am here with another DIY face pack. This face pack efficiently cleanses the pores and reduces their appearance. Not to forget, it can treat acne and their scars as well. I have used kiwi, cinnamon, yogurt and oats in this face pack. This face pack looks super yummy, so if you are not willing to put it on the face, you can definitely eat it up. 😛

Ingredients and their benefits:

Kiwi:
Kiwi contains a good amount of alpha hydroxyl acids that help in exfoliating the layer of dead skin cells. This, in turn, increases the cell turnover and promotes the growth of new cells. Kiwi, when used on the skin, makes it radiant, soft and plump. It also cleanses the pores and reduces their visibility. Kiwi has the capability to unclog the pores without much effort. Over a course of time, kiwi also reduces any type of skin discoloration, too.

Cinnamon:
Cinnamon has the ability of deeply cleansing your pores by exfoliating action. Apart from this, cinnamon efficiently treats acne, blemishes or any other skin discolouration. Use of cinnamon on your skin makes it plump and soft. It also delivers anti-ageing benefits. Cinnamon gives a warming sensation to the skin which enhances blood circulation. This, in turn, brightens up the complexion.

Yogurt:
Yogurt has the capability of rejuvenating the skin and making it soft and supple. It contains lactic acid which exfoliates dead skin cells and tightens up the pores. Yogurt helps in skin brightening, and over the course of time, it reduces the appearance of pigmented skin. It can fight acne-causing bacteria and keeps the skin clear.

Oats:
Oats help in absorbing excess oil from the skin. It also works as an exfoliator and helps in removing dead skin cells. It also contains polysaccharides which help in treating dry and flaky skin. Oats is well known for skin lightening properties, too.

How to Make:

Step 1:
Blend half kiwi and 3-4 tablespoons of yogurt together in a food processor to form a smooth paste.

Step 2:
Now, add 2-3 tablespoons of powdered oats. You can adjust the consistency but the paste should not be thick.

Step 3:
Add half teaspoon of cinnamon powder to this mixture. Mix all the ingredients very well.

How to Use:

Step 1:
Cleanse your face properly and pat dry.

Step 2:
Apply this face pack over your face and neck. Let it sit for 15 minutes.

Step 3:
After 15 minutes, massage the face pack for 2-3 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm to normal water and pat dry your face.

Step 4:
Follow up with a moisturizer.

Note:

• Do not let the face pack dry. If it dries, first splash some water to make it soft to work with and then only rinse it off.
• Post rinsing, your skin will be red and a little itchy. This is normal with any cinnamon pack but this redness will vanishes within a few minutes. My T-zone and cheeks become super red, but become normal within 5 or 10 minutes.
• If you are allergic to any of the ingredients, then do not use this face pack.
• If you have a sensitive skin, you can soothe your skin with a toner first. However, it is not necessary.
• Always do a patch test before putting anything on your face.
