My Experience with Dove Pure and Sensitive Body Lotion:
Dove body lotions are pretty expensive in Netherlands and recently, I spotted this body lotion for a very cheap price and as I was hoarding up some sensitive products, I decided to pick this one up.
The body lotion comes in a 400ml plastic bottle with a flip cap. The cap is tight and hence, there is no leakage. The lotion is creamy white, thick and has a bit runny texture. I spilt a lot of lotion during the first time when I thought the lotion is creamy and it was a disaster. The lotion has a pleasant smell but, it is not very captivating. However, the smell disappears within a few minutes.
The product is lightweight and it gets absorbed into the skin quite quickly. I always liked this aspect about Dove. It doesn’t leave any residue or a greasy feeling once it gets absorbed. The body lotion makes your skin look instantly healthy and nourished. The lotion also adds softness and a smooth feel to the skin. However, the moisturization is short lived and if you have dry skin, you need to reapply the product after 4-5 hours or else, you will end up with dry patches.
The body lotion doesn’t do much justice if you have dry flaky skin. The lotion soothes the skin when applied. It doesn’t cause any irritation and is suitable for sensitive skin. It is also a good product for after shaved/waxed skin. The product instantly reduces the redness and soothes it instantly. It also adds an instant cooling sensation when applied.
The product contains glycerin as the second ingredient and thus, it makes the skin smooth and soft. The smoothness lasts long throughout the day which is great for this dry weather. The skin is hydrated and supple. The product contains parabens which is a disappointment for me.

- Moisturization is short lived and needs reapplication.
- Doesn’t soothe dry flakes.

Not really. You can get a better product for the same price and it is just a normal lotion.
