Dove Intense Repair Shampoo Review

Dove Intense Repair Shampoo Review

A few months back one of my friend shared a dove hair app on facebook. I gave a try to the app and that app suggested me to use Dove Intense repair shampoo for my hair. I had used Dove oil care range before and was quite satisfied with the results so I saw no harm in using this shampoo as well.

My Experience with Dove Intense repair shampoo: I have curly, dry & frizzy hair. To keep my hair in control I often use hot styling. Hot styling like flat ironing or blow drying are considered to damage hair, And I think that is why the dove hair app suggested me to use this shampoo. I am using this shampoo from more than 3 week regularly. And I see no change in my hair. My hair brakeage or hair fall did not reduce and about controlling split ends I don’t have split ends and I get regular trimming done so I Cannot comment on that. However I have heard people praising this shampoo for reducing their split ends. I use this shampoo with the conditioner from the same range and it did nothing to make my hair soft or frizz free, like the oil care range did.

dove intense repair shampoo review

This shampoo is white in colour with some glittery particles in it, and has the dove signature smell. It lathers well but when I have more oil on my hair it takes me 2 rounds of shampoo to wash the oil completely. It is not a very costly product so people with normal hair and the dove fans out there can give this a try. It has lots of chemicals including Silicon.

Pros of Dove Intense repair shampoo:

  •  Nice smell.
  •  Repairs split ends.
  •  Affordable.

Cons of Dove Intense repair shampoo:

  •  Too many chemicals.
  •  Contains Silicon.
  •  Does nothing to reduce frizz.
  •  No reduction in hair breakage or hair fall.

IMBB Rating: 2/5

Will I repurchase Dove Intense repair shampoo:
No. Not again 🙁

  1. Even dove anti dandruff is waste too… It dint work for dandruff at all. plus it left ma hair sticky as if i hav poured gel in dem…

  2. I got this free with my philips salon straight ion straightener and I guess thats why it came for free 😛 It just doesn’t work! There is absolutely no difference!

  3. Hey Sweta! I am using this one rite nw.. I have dry hair ( slight not too much) but I find this shampoo to be good for helping me combat Hair loss.. The conditioner from the same range also suits me well… Maybe it helps me coz my hair isnt too dry..I guess

  4. Same thing with me. Actually at first it is really satisfying because I had silky hair (probably due to Silicon content). Now all that’s left are dandruff and the fragrance.
