$3 for 1g.
Loose glitter particles turn the nails into a trendy accessory that’s suitable for any occasion – either as a complete manicure or on individual statement nails.
My experience with Essence 03 Rock in a Bottle Loose Glitter:
The product comes supported in a cardboard package. The product comes in a transparent glass bottle with a white screw cap. The white screw cap closes tightly and there is no spillage. The small bottle is sleek and you can easily find a place for it. There is no stopper for the mouth of the bottle and this can cause unnecessary wastage. There is basic information printed on the supporting cardboard, but nothing on the bottle.
“Rock in a bottle” contains silver metallic glitter for your nails. The flakes are really thin and not sharp. The application of this glitter is the easiest among all the ones available. There is no mess and it eases the application. Since the flakes are comparatively bigger, I can put them back to the bottle. The glitter does not cringe onto any surface like the others. The usage is easy. You need to apply a base and while it is still wet, you need to sprinkle the glitter and lightly press it. This way the glitter sticks onto the surface and also, you can pack them closely. The glitter can be built up to create intense look. The product has to be sealed with a top coat and if not, there is high chances that the flakes start peeling.
Even though it is easy to take the glitter out of the bottle, the application is a bit uneven. You really need to spend a lot of time, if you want it to be even. The flakes look like cut pieces of aluminum foil. The results are not what I expected. It is really not a rock look for sure. If you build up the product, it creates a bump on the nail and it can be uncomfortable when doing your chores. As you tend to be little careless, there are a lot of chances that they would chip off even with a little damage. The product stays on depending on the base coat. I got them chipped within 3 days and with a good base coat, I had them on for around 10 days. The longevity of the product is based on the base coat you use. Use of a latex gum is needed around the cuticle. If it sticks onto the skin, be ready for early chipping. The glitter do not have any shine or something that would make it stand out. I could get the same effect with cutting the aluminum foil and using them on the skin. I am not a fan of this glitter and the quantity is also less. I wouldn’t repurchase the product again.
